10 West Restaurant & Bar - Cicero, Indiana

Three of us decided to try 10 West and it was a pleasantly surprising experience. I expected the standard contemporary American fare that you find in most places. Instead, I found some items on the menu that I don't normally see in the Midwest. Overall, we ordered crab stuffed mushrooms and spinach artichoke dip as appetizers, blackened chicken pasta, gator shrimp and grits, and quesadillas as our entrees, and shared a brownie sundae for dessert.

I'm only going to talk about what I ordered because I didn't sample anyone elses' food. The crab stuffed mushrooms were great. They were loaded with crab and had cheese and a cream sauce on them that was a 10 out of 10. I haven't seen that much crab on anything since I left Maryland 5 years ago. If you're a fan of crab, you have to get these. You won't find their equal anywhere nearby.
I love shrimp and grits and was interested in the fact that it also had fried alligator in it. I've always enjoyed Gator, so I figured it would be a win. It wasn't just a win, it was a gold medal dish. The grits were served on top of the dish as 2 cakes. I've never had grits like this and it was creative and delicious. The sauce that the shrimp and gator was in was so tasty. This dish blew me away. I've eaten lots of grits in my day and there were probably the best I've ever had.
The service was good, the atmosphere was pretty much what you would expect so I wasn't surprised by either of those two factors. The food was amazing though. I would highly suggest going here and trying something that you can't get at most other restaurants in the area.

What can I say? The food was great. The menu has really great options and the dishes are fairly unique, but not too eccentric. Atmosphere is good. "Pubish" I would say. Service was not great. Communicating with our waiter was like talking with a frat-boy. He wasn't really engaged but had some canned responses. Our frat-boy waiter hasn't honed his skills or timing yet. We were watching people seated after us getting food before we even had bread. He did finally bring bread after we were well into our appetizer. He also took our appetizer away before we were finished with it. Overall, a good kid. He just needs more development. The food, however! The food was spectacular. We had grilled cheese crostini and it was great. There salad was really fresh and their dressing tasted like it was home made. Tomato-horseradish soup is delicious. I got the gator grits. What a great cajun flavor the dish had. Some of the best Cajun food I've ever eaten. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Super delicious!

Went to the first day of Brunch at 10 West.
I had the biscuits and gravy. They were very good. The gravy was very tasty, and the sausage was extremely good. Biscuits were homemade, light, and fluffy.
Next was an omelet my wife had. She loved it! The others had an omelet and the birds nest. They liked what they had but did not like their side of potatoes. Lacks flavor.
Overall, it was very good .
Our service was very good!

8-24-24 Our server, Ashley was wonderful. We had a party of 9, the round table was perfect for us to allow conversations that could be shared by all. We were seated on time. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and desserts. Made my birthday celebration memorable

Cool place, great smothered steak and a very friendly staff. Even made it a Point to chase us out the door to ask how our first tike being there was. Definitely a much go.

First time here, and I can't really say a negative thing about the place. Drinks, appetizers, and main course we're absolutely delicious. The staff was great, friendly, and attentive. Perhaps a little slow, but the place was very busy, so it's understandable.

Lots of parking along the street. It was a Friday night and there was still plenty of parking. Admittedly there was a big concert in Indy that may have pulled some people away from Cicero, but we had no problem.

Anyway, we can't wait to go back and try something different. LOTS of choices with interesting twists on standard dishes.

My husband and I stopped in for brunch to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. Everything was FANTASTIC. Dustin was our server, and he had great recommendations and service. The plating for our meals was stunning - this place definitely cares about presentation, even for brunch. The chef had featured a chocolate chip banana bread French toast, and it was to die for!

We loved everything, 10/10 we will be back 😁

Well we had our reservation early only to be sat down at the only available seating option next to front door. We kept getting hit every 5 minutes with cold air from outside. They had no heat on to keep it warm inside or at the front, food was cold within 2 minutes of it being served. Appetizer was literally a baked onion ball with no flavor and little cheese with stale bread. Waitress forgot to take my drink order she didn't even get everyone's order before leaving the table. The waitress had no clue what sides they offered instead told us to look in the menu when we asked. There was absolutely nothing fancy about this restaurant and they couldn't even get a medium rare steak done properly. It was my wife's birthday and it was highly discouraging to be cold the entire night and have poor service at a restaurant that's supposedly good. I do not recommend this place. Way better service elsewhere for the price.
