It was a glorious experience to grace the historic town of Eatonville, FL. The weather was great and so was the people. Especially, the curator at the Zora Neale Hurston Museum. It is a must visit at least once in your lifetime.

Not at all what I expected. The director is both passionate and knowledgeable, offering great insights to the town and its history. The museum as it is, though, is not much more than a starting point for the Eatonville walking tour. (The posters on exhibit are an interesting collection.) Just know that if you are going here for an in depth collection of information about Zora Neale Hurston, you won't find it.

To be in a place that honors the magnificent Zora Neale Hurston was life affirming. To be in the town of Eatonville where she was born and raised, an all-Black town . I had the pleasure of meeting the director of the museum, Dr. Narhiri whose family has been in the community 100 years.

Small space but definitely worth the visit. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the art exhibit on Afro-Futurism was amazing.

The very nice woman behind the desk gave us a short lecture on afrofuturism and encouraged us to take a walking tour around Eatonville afterwards. She told us some highlights. We really enjoyed looking at the art. They also have a nice little shop area where you can buy Hurston's books.

The lady was so kind. I was babysitting and decided to take her down to this festival in Eatonville. I fell in love with this town the first time I drove through it, not even knowing all the history. Then I read the eyes and watching God and couldn't put the book down. I was so honored to be so close to Eatonville and be able to attend some of the Special events ?. I was surprised by the admission price, but if it's going to the city of Eatonville, I didn't have a problem.

Small art museum inside a small town! Free admission with a small gift shop. The two volunteers working were very kind and informative. We got walking tour maps from them and were able to take a small walking tour of Eatonville.

Amazing history that we must never forget. We are a great people who can do all things we will into existence!
