Got to the venue earlier. Had to few cocktails at the main bar as you walk in. Then grabbed a table on the rail upstairs just behind adn above the sound booth. Probably the best seats in the house if you're not a fan of being in the crowd in front of the stage. Still able to get some good photos from this distance too.

This place is a great reason to get dressed up and go out. There’s no dress code but walking in you feel like you should dress to the occasion.
The drinks are good and there is always great LIVE entertainment. In between music they other entertainment like fire eaters and acrobatic acts.
Make it a point to go!

I haven't been here since it was State Theater and was happy to find the upstairs seating was not only still there but beautully updated and clean, as was the downstairs- including the bathroom! This venue is better than ever!

I've seen plenty of amazing shows here over the last fifteen years that I've lived in the bay area. Consistently good staff, not douchey unlike bar and security staff at other certain venues in the city.
