I have 2 dogs that went missing together. Only reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 5 is because they only had one of them. They lied telling me the other dog was found on the side of the road dead. But I got a call from a property owner that says the dog has been on his property so I was able to get both dogs back but they didn't have to lie to me and make me be in panic about my other dog possibly being dead.

My roommate found a stray kitten at his job. He did the right thing & brought the cat back home to care for it for the night & was planning to take the cat to animal control. We had already rescued one stray that we kept & could not keep a second. Arrived at animal control today to drop the cat off & needed an ID that showed we were Walton county residents but mine nor my fiancé had updated drivers license with our current address. We left & found some documentation of our current address in Walton county & called up there to see if that would be enough & the lady said yes. Arrived & gave them what they needed to only be asked where we found the cat. We told them he found the cat at his job located in Conyers only to be told because the cat was not found in Walton they cannot take it. It’s a very frustrating situation & the people were not helpful & the gentleman the first go around was very cold towards us. Do better, educate your residents & do it with some kindness.

I was late getting there but they still took care of me.(It was their lunchtime.) The guys that worked around there came up while I was visiting the dog. They both seemed equally happy to see each other and they kept saying what a happy boy he was. And he's now my happy boy! Meet Diesel, Vin Diesel, I'll be calling him Vinny. We took a 3 mile hike today and we both loved it. Thanks to Walton Co. animal control!

I put in an application for a dog and reached out because I was worried about losing the chance to meet/adopt her and they called immediately and were eager to help. They knew about the dog and told me a little about her. We were able to get an appointment the next day to meet the dog. They brought her out to a space where she could be off leash to play and interact. We knew immediately and they brought the paperwork and handled the payment while we played with her. I only wish they had more availability because I think this can limit some families from being able to adopt. When we left they gave us a bag of toys and treats to take home to get her settled in at her new home. They also have arrangements with local vets to help with the cost of spaying/neutering. We are so thankful for this shelter helping us find our fur baby!

Its animal control. I've adopted two dogs from the shelter now. They're well taken care of while there, and the staff does everything in their power to get the fur babies adopted out. The staff has always been helpful and worked with me as much as possible.

We adopted a one year old small breed dog here. First and most importantly the staff got his online photo posted very quickly after he arrived.Their online application was straight forward, and both times I called, the nice lady returned my call promptly. I hate that our dog's first family couldn't keep him. I'm thankful he landed here where the staff cares about matching dogs to their new families.
