A great small local theater that always has deep meaning and thought provoking shows. The venue is nice and intimate and the tickets are affordable, especially if you purchases the preview tickets. Highly recommend.

Spectacular local theater that always has thought provoking shows with actors that play their parts to perfection. With an intimate venue and affordable ticket prices the Capital Stage makes it easy and enjoyable to support local theater. I'd recommend attending a show whether you're a local or out of towner.

This is a great theater and they always put on excellent, beautifully written plays with stellar actors. The staff is usually also good but a bit inconsistent -- sometimes they're very familiar with the processes, sometimes they seem a little overwhelmed. There are bike racks outside (the "smart rack" kind that it's easy to unbolt and steal from) but a few times the staff has invited me to bring my bikes into the courtyard; other times they said that's against the rules. I've also heard variable rules regarding food and drink in the theater. Now and then the inconsistency is enough to distract me from the play, but usually not.

We were lucky to find Capital Stage over 16 years ago. We were thrilled with their powerful, thought provoking and creative performances. We are season ticket holders and have been for years. We get lucky at every show.
