I've had the pleasure of watching both Cabaret and Little Shop of Horrors at Actors Express Theater Company, and it's been an amazing experience each time!

The performances are top-notch, and the intimate setting makes you feel like you're part of the show. This is truly a gem for local Atlanta theater, bringing incredible talent and unforgettable productions to the stage.

The cast of Cabaret, the intimate stage setting, sound and musicians all wowed me. My husband and I have both been performers and appreciate the arts. I want to give big props to the amount of creative skill and heart put into the performance we saw tonight! The production gave the piece heart and soul.

We went to see Actor's Express Theater's newest production, Downstairs. The set, actors and location were all great and the story and acting were compelling. I enjoyed the intimacy of the venue and how close you can be to the stage. Friendly staff and quick drink service rounded out the experience!

My experience with the play tonight, 8/2/24, was extremely disappointing. The Facebook page advertised an 8:00 PM start time, but the play actually began at 7:30 PM. When we arrived at 7:35 PM, we were told the show was about to start and needed to hurry. I explained that my brother, who has stage 4 cancer and was visiting us for the night, was trying his best to hurry and get in the door. Despite this, the staff refused to delay the start of the play, even though the online information was incorrect.

Came for Hedwig. Wonderful production; friendly staff. Parking is egregiously expensive, but that's certainly not the fault of AE.

This is a great place for live performance where everyone is sitting close to all the live action! Get there about an hour before performance to get the best seating. Seating is first come, first served. Please don't get there 5 minutes before performance and expect to sit together. I have loved all the performances I have attended.

We went to the annual Christmas show that Libby Whittemore does at Actor's Express at the King Plow Arts Center. It runs through tomorrow's matinee. Easy to get to, valet parking is generally available for Libby's performances but there is a convenient parking deck if the valet service isn't there.

The first half of the show is the old, familiar and nostalgic Christmas songs Libby does so beautifully. Many are the same year after year but that's her audience, in general. After a short intermission she and the Robert Strickland Combo return as Connie Sue Day, the 31st Lady of country music. Always the same but never grows old. Lots of songs and stories from Morning Glory Mountain and Della's Diner. It's a wonderful Libby Whittemore standard, for a mature audience.
