Enjoyed KC and The Sunshine Band. The Amphitheater is really nice however, this was our first time attending and we had no idea that chairs over 8inches were not allowed. I didn't see this information disclosed on the Ticket or in the Email confirmation that I received. We ended up having to sit on the grass on our jackets. I checked the website today and it is disclosed under the FAQ section. We do plan to come back and now we know about the chairs. Also, on a side note, they do have restrooms right outside the Park but you are not allowed to leave and come back in. Inside the park they only have port a potties. I feel that for the cost they should have a better option.

The flaming lips were phenomenal but the sound system was really.lacl.luatwr. for how much tickets are to this amphitheatre you would think they could afford some better speakers.

For what they charge for seating, absolutely a waste of money.

My husband spent an absurd amount of money on tickets to the May 4th 2024 show this evening at Cascade, only to have the band 38 Special cease playing after only being on stage a max of 40 mins, due to weather related concerns.
1. Weather concerns are understandable, THESE CONDITIONS WERE NOT. It was not even raining, no lightning was ever in sight and most significantly, the Stage Manager for the band walked out on to the stage numerous times between 7:45 and 8:10. My assumption is this was in updating the band in regards to the weather. In fact, the first thing out of the Guitarists mouth when they were stopping their set was “I know we haven’t played our main songs yet.....”

It was only within 3 mins after that we were told they might go back on (announcement) and then within 10 mins total it was announced the band would not return at all. For the cost of the tickets my husband purchased, Row 300 Seats 321 and 322, that announcement - again, when it is not even raining at the time - is completely unacceptable.
The crowd was then instructed it would need to wait 45 mins in shelter before the possibility of headliner George Thorogood coming on. Given the current band walking off stage in such LIGHT rain conditions, my husband and I were not about to wait and see.

2. This is Tallahassee, FL. My husband and I have built an entire, very successful business, around the rainfall in Tallahassee. Therefore it is completely unacceptable to be running a venue, that is open air, without better contingencies in place. For example: when the probability of weather affecting the duration of the show presents itself, the band on stage should immediately be made aware in order to alter their set list, etc. FURTHERMORE, I have been to NUMEROUS shows around Florida and around the Nation and have never seen either a venue or a band behave so poorly, and pull a band in that LIGHT OF CONDITIONS. I absolutely refuse to believe they could not have wrapped up one to two more songs. Hell, they didn’t even play the song promoted plastered all over the tshirts they were selling. (I have seen numerous bands refuse to get off stage however.)
