I highly recommend Alta Vista. I have 2 little chihuahua yorkie mix girls that need extra attention and care because we’ve had bad experiences at other places. This place takes all the one on one time you need. They get to know your baby and educate you. They have a very loving touch. They really care about pets and it shows 100%. This is our place from here on out. At the end I was fighting back the tears of relief and amount of love they put into their work.

I would never take my dog anywhere else. Dr Renee Rumrill has been my vet for years and she is thoughtful, brilliant, thorough and takes time to explore and diagnose with a gentle hand and a caring heart. Dr Johnson is also excellent, and when Dr Renee is unavailable I know we are in good hands. The techs are kind and capable, everyone remembers us. Feels like a “family practice” not just an animal clinic. Hands down, best vet experience you could hope for.

I am visiting the area and Alta Vista staff worked me in to have my dog, Josie, checked out. Even though I was late getting there they were extremely nice and still let us see the doctor. Dr. Maria Zayas has a wonderful personality, was thorough and gentle in her exam of Josie and gave me treatment options along with what they would cost. I agreed with her diagnosis and treatment plan and did not feel overcharged being I was basically a work-in. All the staff at Alta Vista were so nice. I couldn’t have asked for better.

We simply loved our experience at Alta Vista Animal Hospital. Our boy is very timid and gets nervous with probing and such, but Dr. Renee Rumrill and staff were very knowledgeable, professional and caring to make sure our boy had the best experience from beginning to end. Dr. Rumrill is a caring and compassionate veterinarian. She explains options and never feels like she is trying to upsell us on any recommendations. The techs are excellent and you can tell they are true animal lovers. With that said, we’ve had an experience with another veterinarian there that felt like the opposite- felt guilted about not choosing the most expensive option and also felt talked down to. Now when making appointments I know to always ask for our pets to see Dr. Rumrill, who was highly recommended to us by our previous vet in GJ.

Some Vets won’t let the owner to help with their pets! Alta Vista has allowed Mark to comfort our Ashe by being with her … she is a rescue and was abused.
