We saw A Christmas Carol and it was great! The production far exceeded our expectations. We hadn’t seen a show there for many years. This is a definite must do when in Central VA.

Note: As a recreation of the original Globe Theater in London from the year 1599, it does not have the most comfortable seating. Get over it and realize that we have become soft.

For such an intimate theater and a seemingly fun company, I have to unfortunately agree with the others that have been shocked at how rude management is here. Unfortunately there seems to be a correlation between the size of a house and the dignified treatment of patrons, and the management here is no exception. If I didn't know better I would say management has it in for these actors and are trying to do everything they can to drive people away from the theater. After coming here many times since I first moved to Virginia 10 years ago, inthink it's going to be a long while before I return.

Went to show King Lear. Actor playing King Lear was great. Other actors were good. Cost of snacks and drinks is outrageous! The location of bar was hard to get in and out of during intermission as it's one stair case to go up and down. Also only one person working bar area resulting in a long wait.

My husband and I spent the weekend in Staunton, celebrating our anniversary. We love history and the arts so we thought it'd be a good choice, and seeing Julius Caesar performed at this theater was a wonderful addition to our weekend plans. The staff were great and the actors were amazing. They really stay true to the Shakespearean experience and it's something to behold! Everyone did a magnificent job. My only complaint is that we sat in the second row on the second level and there was absolutely no back support. It's just a bench, which can be uncomfortable after 2+ hours. It appeared that the other seats had at least partial backs. Just something to make note of if you're making seat selections. Other than that, terrific!

As a retired actor I wish I played here when I was active.
It's just freaking beautiful and the talent exhibited is amazing. A wonderful way to see the Bard. Be prepared for unconventional Shakespeare as well as classic.

It was a wonderful experience for myself and my granddaughters. All of the actors were amazingly talented and hilarious. The Foley Artist was amazing in her own right. Highly recommend for any Dracula fan, or anyone looking for a great comedy.
We will be back!

Horrible. Saw Macbeth with my family and the performances were “meh”, but where they lost me was with the theater and staff. They were literally charging audience members extra for seats with backrests. Seriously The place was half full and your attendant is telling everyone that if they want to lean against the wall then you have to pay for it. Brilliant marketing strategy. Here’s what you get: How about 1) complete loss of audience 2) critical review and 3) lifetime of telling people to never attend. This is a straight-up tourist trap, don’t go. I left at intermission to go get straightened out by my chiropractor. And fix your broken urinals, too.

We were absolutely astounded by the performance of "Little Women"! Not only were the actors professional and well-versed but they made me laugh hysterically and come to tears multiple times. Your hard work will not go to waste in paying for a performance here! I give them 10⭐️/10⭐️!!
