We took our black Lab puppy (7 months) to the 3 week board training with Scott. Prior to training, our puppy jumped on everything and everyone, ate everything, and couldn’t go on walks due to pulling so hard. After training, she is a completely different dog in the absolute best way. We are able to live our everyday life without worrying what she may be eating or jumping up on. We can have her inside by us when food is out, we can have guests at our house again and know she won’t jump all over them We had friends over, with four kiddos under 7, running around with snacks and toys and she stayed in her commands the entire time. Prior to training she had to stay outside on the deck or in her kennel, whenever food was out. She not only can go on walks now, she can go on walks without her leash and will stay. in heel the whole time! My nephew who is three walked her in heel on her walk today and she stayed right with him despite any distraction. At the end of the 3 weeks, Scott spent time with us and showed us how to continue training at home. He made sure we understood the foundation of the skills and how to be successful at home. We are amazed by the puppy we got back just after 3 weeks. Our chaotic puppy lives are a thing of the past and we are able to enjoy and love our pup fully!

I found this place by accident! I was looking for some feedback on where to take my pups for a bath as I’m new to the area. I discovered they have a groomer Emily, who is absolutely amazing she offers knowledge to help owners with between grooms as well as tips to make the experience better for the pup too!
Scott is an excellent teacher and trainer.

Highly recommend the 2-Week Board and Train at ADTC!! The results exceeded our expectations! Our 2-yr old Golden Retriever Maggie, won this as a grand prize after the Annual Wag-O-Ween 5k. We could not be more thrilled with the results. Maggie went from jumping on strangers, guests and grandmas to sit/stay when asked, going to place with implied stay, heeling during walks and knowing when to “break” from training. During her stay she went to stores and sat while people walked by, formerly unheard of behavior from Maggie, and even went to the mall without jumping on strangers. She learned to abide commands while being distracted by doorbells, other dogs playing and more. Scott and Sam taught me and my husband all the training commands and helped us understand how Maggie thinks so we can help her be successful. We are so proud of Maggie for all she has learned and can’t wait to have guests over to a home that is safe and comfortable for dogs and humans alike. Thanks ADTC!

I adopted Charley from a rescue, that clearly had been abused . I was lost on his manner towards other people . Growl, possibly bite . I found Scott !!!
The best dog trainer , I’ve ever worked with and I worked with a few .
Thank you for training me to let Charley know he was safe and I was in charge . He is the best little guy and friendly to ALL OUR GUEST NOW .

If you need help , don’t hesitate to use Scott and his facility. He even worked with my family , so they could feel secure and comfortable around him .

Harley, aka the pain-in-the-rear beagle, completed his basic training here. While we (mostly me) still have long way to go, ADTC was great & my dog is happy there. He has his grooming appointments with them as well. He highly recommends the medicated shampoo for his itchy, dandruff-prone skin!!!

We have a sweet Saint Bernard “puppy” Daisy who is almost a year old and was beginning to realize she didn’t want to be told what to do. While we can appreciate no one wants to be told what to do, strength was quickly getting out of control and I was unable to force her to walk with me even into the pet store to get groomed. I was concerned we missed our window for training her out of this behavior. She was pulling on the leash, jumping up on people, refusing to jump into the car, yes she made us lift her in, and refusing to go into places she didn’t want to go. (Pulling so hard she was pulling her collar off)
While she already knew the commands sit, down, shake, those are cute…but her behaviors were unacceptable. We got In Contact with Scott and in only 4 lessons we have a new dog!
She listens. She no longer makes us lift her into the car. She will walk (heel) next to me while walking. I’m not afraid to take her to the store and be pulled against her will. She doesn’t dart at the front door when people arrive. She knows sit and stay.
Scott gives simple tips for key words to use to also train us. 😂 I won’t hesitate to refer anyone to go see him to help get their dog more acceptable behaviors.

Scotty did a great job training Miss Murphy. Murphy liked to show her affection by jumping on you, barking at everything and would pull on the leash. After her two week board and train my 2 year old granddaughter can walk her and she goes everywhere with us and has good manners. She plays in the front yard without a leash now. We appreciate how Scotty showed Murphy love and affection and how well Murphy responded to his training style. I was dreading leaving her for two weeks but Scotty’s nightly videos and updates of Murphy’s progress helped so much. We highly recommend taking your fur baby to Scotty .

I have nothing but positive things to say about the dog training program and our experience at Andover Dog Training. We sent our very, very energetic 7 month old puppy to Scott. He updated us regularly with videos and let us know how she was progressing. He was honest and upfront that she needed more time to get where he wanted her to be, and kept her free of charge for the extra time. He definitely has a love and knowledge for dogs.
