another theater that casts the same people again and again and just choose their favorites instead of branching out to new people. why has Belle played Belle a bunch of times before including at this theater before? did no one else who auditions of like a hundred who auditions do as good as her? no one else can be Belle? and Beast is a staff members son, he gets to miss a whole weekend of the show because of the favoritism. they just keep things in the family I guess, some people must be tired of auditioning there if they just choose the same people,

This place is so amazing!! The directors are fantastic!! The plays are out of this world!! These guys try to change lives one kiddo at a time!! My son didn't want to do theater, and he started one and is hooked!! Thank you guys for all you do!! A forever supporter!!

The theater is small in size, but it just ropes you into the performances all the more! You can feel the work each and every person had to go through with each step. I personally have met the directors and choreographers, and they are genuinely so nice and thoughtful with all of the cast, not to mention hilarious. My only hope for the future is that people keep donating so that they may be able to replace the creaky chairs 🙂

I've seen at least 8 Ashland shows and been in 1! Ashland is one of the highest quality community theaters in the Twin Cities. Warm, friendly environment, and the casts are always phenomenal. They have some great production staff to work with as well, and I would highly recommend auditioning for or seeing any of their shows.

Our family went to see "The Wizard of Oz" and it was fantastic! Dorothy sounded and sang just like Judy Garland. My 2 other favorite characters were the witch, whose voice and actions fit the role perfectly, and the scarecrow, who was amazingly limber.

I have never been disappointed by a performance put on by Ashland Productions. I'm so thankful for this local cultural opportunity.

Update: Tonight I saw "Something Rotten," and it was hilarious and musically entertaining. I did not know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. Very campy, with lots of references to other plays, and lewd remarks and actions. It even included tap dancing, which is a lost art. See it if all of this sounds appealing to you. Great talented cast!

I went to and was impressed by their production of Mamma Mia! The lead character actress was very effective and had a good voice. The chorus provided good support and excellent dance accompaniment. The cast was very good at pulling the audience. While there were some lip sync issues and the sound quality could have been improved, was overall pleased by the performance and would go again!

I attended the opening Beauty & the Beast last night. I have a 3rd grader who attends Ashland and began last summer as a 2nd grader. I have met many of his mentors, teachers, instructors and new friends. I decided to take him on a special date to see the final project from the other side. It was amazing to see these same people transform my favorite love story right before our eyes. It was even better for him to see his teachers play parts that seemed were almost made just for them. Each person was perfect!
I have been to some Amazing shows in my travels but this show less then 3 miles from my home will now have a special place in my heart! Ashland Productions gave everything they had last night!
I see a new monthly tradition!
Thank you again to everyone at Ashland. THIS WAS BY FAR AMAZING!
