Very unhelpful people. I got a parking ticket as a vendor during the Sunday farmers market when I was unloading my things for the market. I am too far to pay in person during the week as I am only in the area on Sundays during market hours, and they gave me no options, and increased my fine because I couldn’t make it out there to pay within their very short timeframe (only 7 days). When I called, the clerk berated me for not paying on time and told me they couldn’t do anything about it.

The clerk of the court was professional timely and helpful and she gave me a solution to a very expensive problem and was willing to help.I sincerely appreciated her help and the city of Is avondale's well served by her.

The court clerk is incompetent and lazy. If you ask her a question, she’ll make up legal lies just to get you off the phone. I asked her simple question about paperwork that she messed up, and she threw a tantrum because she didn’t wanna do her job. I called her out on her obvious lies.
It’s my right to call her to ask questions about my case, especially if she messed it up, it’s literally on the paperwork.

She is incompetent, lazy, and unknowledgeable. I’m surprised she hasn’t been fired yet.

True that Avondale Estates used to be known as a racist town, but I don't feel that anymore. We are a mixed race couple and have been living here a year and a half. We love the city and the protection our officers give us. Yes, they don't let you speed in our town and I appreciate that every time I'm out walking my dog with my child. If there were not police out here, you best believe people would just be flying through our streets. Crime is low for a reason as we have a great community that look out for each other, crime watch and police that are relentless in keeping crime low. If you want to live in a place that police take your inquiries seriously, that city hall listens to your requests and a place where the community stands together...then Avondale is the place for you. Yes, there are racist people, but that is everywhere....I see those 'protect the blue' signs and cringe lol. We all know the 'blue' are protected already. There are residence like that everywhere, no matter the city.

Love Avondale Estates! It’s a beautiful little place. Family and animal friendly. Lots of festivals and events. Have been driving through Avondale for the last 50 years and have yet to get a ticket. (Fingers crossed). This is because they have had units out and their presence is well known for as long as I can remember. I applaud that. It works for the better of the community. People can walk their children and their pets without the fear of speeders and drivers distracted by their cell phones and such. Everyone knows that they are in their cars right before you get into town so if you get a ticket, that’s on you. And if you are coming from Memorial Drive into Avondale, merge way before the lanes end. I won’t let you over. I’ve seen people getting tickets for trying to pinch someone into letting them get in front of them. You know the lane is going to end way before it ends. Do the right thing and merge in a timely manner. Thank you Avondale officers.

I had to try to reach the Court Clerk to pay my tickets 6 times. Left multiple voicemails over the course of a month. Finally as I was getting desperate because my license was about to get suspended and I need to drive for my livelihood, I send an email with “urgent” typed in all caps on the title and finally they tell me to call now and we will respond. I did and they were rude and did not provide me any options.

I was given a 20 over speeding ticket when as per the sign right in front of my car I was only going 10 over, but apparently if you are 1 inch behind the sign even though you can’t see any other signs with speed limits posted and that’s the first speed limit you see form where I pulled out of, that speed limit does not apply to you. They have plenty of cops here who literally only sit and parole 1 square mile area in that speed trap which is literally what it is, a 1/4 mile speed drop where they hide to give tickets to everyone. I don’t know anyone in the area who hasn’t gotten one there, and I’m talking good drivers and upstanding citizens.

Super expensive ticket and no provision for monthly payment plans. Had to get a loan just to pay my super expensive unfair ticket without getting my license suspended. I get there at 4:40pm and they tell me they close at 4:30pm. I had to pull up the website where it says 5pm and offer to show them. Contrary to them, we dont all work cushy jobs and just to be able to get there in time it was hard enough. They were extremely rude the whole time and treated me like an annoyance when I was perfectly polite even through all the injustices.

I never leave these sorts of comments on government offices but it’s outrageous how they treat people here. My advice to anyone is to avoid the main road on Avondale Estates as much as possible and not look suspicious in any way possible (aka average car, minority which I am). If I can’t afford this and I have a good paying job, I can’t imagine the average citizen. Outrageous.

The court clerk is very nasty and has a very bad attitude and she hung up on me! Very UNPROFESSIONAL. Sounds like she hates her job and needs Jesus…She’s very rude and she’s gonna get smart with the wrong person one day. She needs to watch how she talks to people, never know what state of mind somebody may be in and rudeness can trigger someone…Doesn’t hurt to be kind to people.

Don't drive no where this place. They are truly racist. I got a speeding ticket for going 1 mile over the limit. 200 dollars just to see a judge, and they only have court twice a month. Plain out racist. If you can avoid this place, avoid it at all cost. The pigs cant stand blacks and they will use extreme force when they see fit. You dont have any rights and please for the love if God don't be educated. They will kill you and it will be ruled justified. Federal mandistrate is truly needed in this small corrupt town of 2, 000 people and they are all white
