More people should ride up the bike trail, and enjoy this place. Seriously, this is the best patio I've seen on ANY bike trail. Patio has a ton of seating, much shade and a couple of trees.
Of course, the staff is also super nice. I'm going to tell my friends about this place.

Ate out on the patio area. Enjoyed the music, not so loud that you couldn't carry on a conversation. Reasonably priced. Waitress was very friendly.

Not bad for a little hole-in-the-wall place in Baxter, Iowa. I was participating in a bike ride through the town and don't know if the food and menu were representative of their usual fare (burgers, dogs, and fries), but it fit the bill that day. There's a very nice patio just outside. The inside is small and cozy. Not bad at all.

Great meal. One of, if not the, best patty melts I've eaten. No joke my folks. Honestly I was really impressed by the whole visit. Great food and the service was top notch for a small town bar at 8PM on a Tuesday. We tried the pickle roll and rueben egg rolls and both were delicious. How are more people not making pickle wrap egg rolls?!? No draft beer but I figured as much around this area. Bottled beer was just fine and came out ice cold. Keep doing what you're doing 🙂

Band night, just a few people. Pretty hot that evening. Ordered a cheese burger and fries. Cheese burger was cold and the fries were soggy and greasy. Come for the band and beer. But go elsewhere for the food.

The exterior is not flashy. If you see they are open online, they are open. Greeted immediately. Food (veggie omelet, coffee, wheat toast, hash browns) served within 8 minutes. Friendly staff. Very generous portions; omelet covered the plate. As of 2023, entire breakfast was $9.63.

Saw a delicious looking menu on the website, only to arrive and find out the kitchen wasn't operational yet. No big deal. It was there first bike night of the year and when it started there would be good on the patio.
I ordered a soda and my daughter ordered a Moscow mule. I was told I could have free refills on the soda. The mule was great.
We took in the surroundings. Loved the bar and the colorful lights! Went outside to the large patio area. Really nice, large patio.
When the band started and the food started being served, my daughter went to the food, I went to refill our drinks.
My daughter waited forever and no one would wait on her. She was standing where the menus are. She caught someone and was told to order and pay for food at the outside bar.
Meanwhile I waited inside for refills. The mule didn't get more than a half shot of vodka. The soda cup was heaped over the top with ice, so not much soda in it, yet the owner charged me another two bucks.
The pulled pork had excellent flavor, but had pieces that were so hard it was barely chewable. The potato salad was dry and you could only taste potato and egg. Nothing else. Not mayonnaise, mustard, onion, nothing else. The servings were plentiful.
It's a new place I believe, so it deserves another chance. But that won't happen very soon.
