Five stars is not enough for Black Trumpet Bistro. I would give them a 10 star if it was available. This place is amazing. Ate here twice and both times I was extremely satisfied and impressed. Honestly, some of the best food I’ve had in a while!

The focaccia was quite good, the house salad dressing was the best dressing I have had in ages, and the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken was prepared expertly. Would highly recommend this place to anyone!

We went in for our anniversary dinner and ordered off the early dinner menu, which has smaller portions but less expensive. The food was wonderful, taste and presentation! The portions were still plentiful. The restaurant atmosphere could use an update.

Me & my husband came here both nights while on our honeymoon and everything was perfect, we wanted to specifically thank our waitress Jenny she took care of us throughout dinner and her hospitality is true, genuine, and just a wonderful experience 💕💕 this beautiful bistro feels like something out of a small town hallmark movie 🎥 the Caesar salad, the steak and mashed potatoes is perfect 🤩

I had a very pleasant experience here! We stopped in with a bigger group and no reservation and within 10 minutes they had tables put together for us. We were paired up with an incredibly friendly server. Ordered cocktails off their specialty menu and they didn't disappoint. The food was excellent and came out fairly quickly for how big our group was. We didn't have any complaints, everything was great. I really liked the mushroom art on the wall and the whole atmosphere of the place.

HIGHLIGHTS
- The house salad and house dressing (a creamy vinaigrette). What could be an after-thought, turned out to be one of our favorite parts of the meal.

- House-made pasta and sauces. Whatever the table orders, make sure a pasta (or two) is included. The sauces are rich and comforting and the pasta is cooked al dente. (Note for pasta snobs: These pastas are heavily sauced.)

- Seafood preparation. The scallops and shrimp were aggressively seasoned and grilled to perfection, maximizing flavor without overcooking.

NEGATIVES
- My garlic mashed potatoes were almost cold when served.

- My steak was rare, not medium as ordered.

- The space is meant to be “bistro” so it’s small, but the decor and overall ambiance could use a face lift so it better represents the excellent food served there.

Excellent food! The house salad dressing is amazing. Homemade bread, fresh ingredients, carefully and thoughtfully prepared dishes. Steak bites, scallops, fantastic desserts. I never write reviews, but this experience required it.

Through the double doors on the right, you'll find a unique place to enjoy great food and good company. The pork belly was tender and flavorful. STEAK!! The ribeye was cooked to a perfect medium rare. It was tender and so juicy. The prices were spendy. However, I have zero buyers remorse. The one complaint I have would be is that the temperature was a bit stuffy. I will be coming back.
