This place is the most expensive humane society I’ve ever been too. Who makes the prices change based off the age of the animal if that’s so senior animals should be almost given away. That’s not even the worst part it’s the fact that to see the animals you can only go three random days of the week only after you get approved by pre-applying for some more of their BS. These guys don’t care about animals they care about $$$$ also adoption hours are only 4 hours for all three of those days that’s 12 hrs while these guys say open so much more.

What a great experience! We met a new member of our family a month ago and he's been home with us for 2 weeks now. Thank you, team! A very special shout out to Miss Tiffany for going above and beyond to help make this happen! And staying in touch to make sure we have everything we need

Adopted two kittens from benches which we were told were “perfectly healthy” and up to date with all their shots. took them home and after a day of being home they have been puking every few hours and won’t eat. they can’t keep water or food down at all. called benches they told us they had no idea they were puking and told us it was probably just anxiety from the move. it’s been 4 days of puking now. don’t recommend adopting from benches you don’t know what your getting for sure and if your animal is really healthy or not.

Had a very good experience. Adopted a set of bonded chihuahuas. Staff were knowledgeable and the adoption process went very smoothly. Its also easy to make donations to benefit all pets at the shelter. Will definitely adopt another pet in the future.

I've adopted both my pets from here. The staff has always been kind. Our vampire cat (Edgar) we adopted 10 years ago and our pup (echo) 4 years ago! They have a room you can go into with the cat of your choice to see how the cat interacts with you. Which is perfect!

Was not very impressed my family and I want to look a a couple of puppies and don't get me wrong it was the end of the day but the help failed to mention that what they had for puppies were not used to seeing children and brought the pup out an 3 mins into seeing our first option my 2 year old son tried to walk up to him an the pup instantly darted away which would be normal to a pup that hasn't been around kids but as soon as the pup darted away the benches employees decided the pup wasn't going to bee a good fit with out giving the pup any time to try an warm up to my family even tho they new this puppy in particular was the one we mainly wanted to see. Then the let us see a pair of puppies that I will say they let try to warm up a bit more to us but the second set of puppies had zero interest in my family an I. The first pup in the 3 minutes we got to see him would actually let us come up to him an pet him an showed interest. Like I said could of just been the end of the day being the key factor but I thought they were supposed to try an find homes instead of turning down homes for these dogs. I've personally had better experiences there but this time was not thrilled with how they decided to not at least give us a better shot with the animals

They are a great location for adopting cats and dogs. They include up to date vaccinations and neutering/fixing of the pet in the price for the pet. Cats range from $25 (long time residents/ FIV +) to $140 (kitten). Dogs are anywhere from $160-340. Once you fill out the pre-adoption forms you can play and interact with the animals. You can also volunteer with this organization if you need volunteer hours. See the pictures attached if you want to see some cute cats.

Pet adoption centers are too expensive all over Minnesota. It is sad when the cost is preventing adoption. Isn't the purpose to find these animals a home? 12 years ago I adopted a lab-huskey for $75.00. How did the center go from $75 to $550?
