My husband and I hadn’t been riding in about 15 years. While camping in Bogue Chitto SP we decided to book a trail ride. It was awesome! The park is a great place to ride, the trails are well maintained. Our trail guide, Mr. Clay, was great. We had a fun time and can’t wait to do it again!

I took my great grand daughter Martaysia there for her birthday. With my other great grand daughter Dajanay. They had a blast. The horses 🐎 were very calm and easy to ride for first timers. It's a must go and ride place.

As an inexperienced rider, I felt confident on the horse I was assigned to. Mariah was a gentle old gal. The trail is mainly covered through the woods which made the ride bearable during the brutal heat of summer. Staff was professional and personable. The bathrooms in the park next to the stables were exceptionally clean with very cold air conditioning. Cleanest public restroom I have encountered in a while. I highly recommend this place. Super fun!

Smooth process. Older, retired horses. This is a ride moves at a very slow pace.

My family and I went riding horses about a year ago, summer of 2022, while camping at Bouge Chitto State Park.

The guide and fellow workers were ready and organized and the process went smoothly.

As soon as we started on the trail, I asked a question out of curiosity. The guide answered my first question, and then completely ignored my second question. Maybe he didn't hear? So I asked again. Blatantly ignored me again...!
This was odd, and embarrassing for all of us. Moving along.... silence.
About 30 minutes in, halfway through the ride my husband stopped to let the horse he was riding graze, which he should not have done. He missed that part of the instructions because we were told not to let them graze during introduction. The guide yelled at my husband "DON'T LET THE HORSES FEED" in a very loud and angry tone. My family and I just wanted to end the ride at this point but there's no way to do that.

It was extremely unprofessional, rude, inappropriate, embarrassing, demoralizing, and had us all feeling uneasy. Absolutely disrespectful, and unacceptable!!

Guide was also looking at his cell phone most of the trail, while riding his horse.

I don't remember his name. Late 20's / early 30's, white man, dark hair.

It's his family's business so I'm sure he's still there, trotting along... Hope he treats his horses better than he does his customers.

My brother, a friend and I completed a two-hour ride on December 17, 2023 with Bambi as our guide. We were very happy, we had a great time, and we thank Bambi for being such a great guide. Thank you too Bambi for allowing us to talk your ear off. Our situation was a bit different, because we made reservations just prior to Hurricane Ida. Unfortunately, we had to cancel not once but twice, due to bad weather, but our reservations were honored, even though it took close to two years before we could ride.

I want to thank Robbie and Dusty for honoring our pre-paid rides. The Bogue Chitta Horseback riding is top notch. I hope to go riding again soon.
