The musical review was outstanding! I came with 9 ladies and we all loved. They had handicapped parking. The theatre was comfortable. And the tickets were reasonable. Overall, we want to come again.

The underlying purpose of our community theaters is to provide local residents the opportunity to not only attend live theatrical performances near to home, but to participate in these productuons in all manner of capacities. The Brookville Community Theater achieves this very successfully.
The intimate three sided seating provided by the thrust stage means the actors are within feet of the audience rather than so far away as is the case in larger professional theaters. The nuances of facial expressions are not lost and body mikes are only necessary during large cast musicals where clarity is essential when one actor's voice must be heard above a chorus.
Within the past eight months my husband and I have attended two different productions: the musical "The Wizard of Oz", "The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940" a comedy/mystery play. Both were engaging, entertaining, and well worth our time, money and energy. The skill level of those involved varied from the 1st time inexperienced, the very experienced, and even benefited from having some with a strong theater training.
Despite the diversity of capabilities, the casts and crew appeared to work very well together. During the after-show meet and greet their affinity and respect for each other was obvious to all.
Attending a production at the Brookville Community Theater is well worth an evening or afternoon of your time.
FULL DISCLOSURE: 1) Our eldest daughter acted in both of the above mentioned productions. For that reason it got our foot in the door sooner than our "one of these days we need to go to a show there" statement each time we passed their marquee sign announcing the next show. (Numerous times a week.)
2) As a jack-of-all-trades school and church drama director I appreciate the hard work and effort that goes into small community productions.

Always an enjoyable time at the BCT. Love to watch the local talent. Even better when you see familiar faces in the cast. Very intimate theater with maybe 100 seats. Always a good view no matter where you sit.

The Adam's Family performance was our first time at the Brookville Community Theater. The physicality of the theater was ok...it's a community theater. The performances was enjoyable, it was witty and the tango number at the end was definitely a big plus. Looking forward to the next show.
