Had the italian beef sandwich today and I'm not kidding, that was probably the best sandwich I've ever had. The hot peppers were literally heaven sent. I will definitely be returning. The owner was so kind and polite and you could really just see how much he cares for the place and his customers.

For the price that we paid the food was not worth it. We ordered 2 jumbo gyros (that supposedly has more meat than the regulars...I asked before I ordered), 2 plain hotdogs, meatball sandwich and 3 large fries. If that jumbo gyro was more meat than the regular, I would hate to see the amount of meat on the regular size. The gyros tasted okay just sucks that we got jipped on the meat...Also all of the fries were overcooked and soggy...

I went out of my way a little bit to go to this place cause I do love hotdogs. I was not disappointed as everything was fresh and tasty. Nothing exotic about it, but it was good and filling.
It looks like it’s been here for a long time has a lot of room inside to set and a good selection on the menu. Parking lot looks like it could be a little tight once I get more than two cars in

Best food I've had in years, I'm from Chicago and the chicago dogs are absolutely amazing, the cheese dog was great as well, and the fries and mozzarella sticks were delicious. The owner is very friendly and puts his heart and soul into the place, I'll be coming back here as much as possible. 10/10 🌟

Awesome retro type atmosphere, to go with awesome food. I had to try a Chicago dog with the fresh cut fries. They were awesome! You can’t go anywhere anymore and eat for less than $10.. well try less than $5 here. (Until I caved and had to add a Gyro to try as well, which was also delicious)

If you’re in the Mt Vernon area and need an affordable and tasty lunch, definitely try Bugsy’s!

I went to Bugsy's Chicago Dog for the first time. The elderly gentleman working the front counter was very friendly and professional. I ordered five Chicago style dogs, which came with a huge pile of fries. The food was great! It was like being at a ballpark. The prices are extremely reasonable. I highly recommend giving it a try. Help support this 'mom-n-pop' business.
