101 years old theatre!
A historic gem with charm, character, and incredible performances!
This place is the heart of live entertainment in Bloomington. From concerts and film screenings to theater productions and community events, it offers something for everyone.

Walking into the theater, I was struck by its beautiful 1920s architecture, with its vintage marquee lighting up the street. The intimate setting means every seat has a great view, and the acoustics are fantastic, making it a perfect place to enjoy live music or a film. I attended a local music performance, and the experience felt warm and personal, with a great connection between the performers and the audience.

Went to the Buskirk-Chumley Theater for the first time with my precious angel babies to go see "Circus on ice" in August 2022. We had a nice time! Some staff members were helpful and kind, but concessions staff member was cut and dry tone. There were not many options for food choices. Popcorn was okay, wish there was at least nachos or pretzels with cheese! Overcrowded inside lobby and not many were wearing their masks.

Took the family to see Newsies, the Disney musical, for Christmas. This quaint little theater is in great shape and restored nicely. Overall a fun experience but found it difficult to hear the actors over the orchestra and will probably sit farther away on my next visit.

Great little theater. Fun to see old venues that haven't changed all that much. So much more character and class than new places!
