This is our experience as a vendor with a copy of an email I sent the staff.

After doing this show this past week I feel compelled to email you about our results. Although we never saw any representative from your company I am sure you must've heard what a disaster most vendors experienced in the south hall. For a show that charges $1,500 for a 10X20 I was sure this would be a well attended and profitable event. Well this was simply not the case. Most days we might've seen 20-30 people walk the south hall. Was this show even advertised to the general public? We sold $100 on the first day, zero on day 2 and 3. $100 on Thursday, and $100 on Friday. Everyone kept saying just wait until Saturday. On Saturday traffic was up and we were hopeful but we did a whopping $200 for a total of $500 for the week. Our total expenses were about $2,000. In the 15 years we've been doing this we have never incurred such a loss. I know it was not our product as most other vendors had similar results. I am sure we could've done better in the main hall but because of the vendor who took up 15 spaces to display their artwork we were forced to setup in the dirt where hardly anyone attending the show seemed to notice. I think it goes without saying we and most other vendors will not be back. This is a 3 day show at best and your fee should be around $700 for a 10X20 in the dirt. I get that your event is about the horses and vendors are just a side show but in my experience happy vendors that return year after year make a good event greater. At the very least, you or your vendor coordinator should be visiting the vendors throughout the show to measure the pulse; this would have helped a lot.

As you can probably tell by now, I am extremely disappointed in your event and the bottom line is I feel cheated and needed to let you know.

The horses and rider were amazing. No doubt there's a lot of
Work that's goes into putting on an event like this. Our suggestion would be to have a top
10 board spectators could see and add some
Excitement with added announcing. Hype up the rider horse and the farm. Give us some background and information. We
Felt
Like a lot of information was missed
