When I moved to Atlanta about 9 years ago I knew I had to find a studio where I could continue my dance studies in Flamenco, and I feel so grateful to have found Calo Gitano, because not only have I grown as a Flamenco student but also gained in the process a wonderful Flamenco family and friends. Cara is a wonderful teacher and makes her students of all ages feel welcomed, she is passionate about her art and pushes her students to be the best they can be, because she believes in us. I would highly recommend Calo Gitano Alpharetta! Ole y ole!!

Great dance studio in the Alpharetta/Johns Creek area! Cara is an amazing instructor who makes everyone feel welcomed and at ease. Dance classes for children and adults are fun and she helps you learn at your own pace. My daughter loves the Life University program and has learned important lessons about self care and taking care of our planet, among other things. I highly recommend this studio!

Calo Gitano Alpharetta offers a variety of weekly Flamenco dance classes for all levels and ages. The studio also incorporates various aspects of this fascinating art form (including its history, culture and music) through special workshops, guest artists, and performances. I was welcomed to the studio two years ago as an absolute beginner, and I continue to feel motivated and inspired with each class!

I love Miss Cara so much!! She is so sweet and encouraging, and I have come a long way in learning Flamenco because of her. The atmosphere of the studio is always so warm and inviting, I always look forward to class. Miss Cara's teaching style is also very flexible based on how experienced you are in flamenco, and she will help you in the way that's right for you. If you are unsure about learning flamenco or just want to try it (or want to continue learning) I would really recommend going to her! 🙂

No matter how tired I am at the end of my mom-taxi gig, I am ready to head to flamenco class at Calo Gitano Alpharetta where no one is a stranger and Cara's warm and generous personality bring life to this already passionate and alluring art form. I am not only transformed into a dancer, I am energized. By the end of class, I have no idea I just burned a lot of calories, I just feel happy. Best of all, I am surrounded by people of different walks of life who have grown to be like family. I always leave feeling I've gained something new and powerful.

I have been dancing flamenco with Cara for almost a year now at Caló Gitano Alpharetta (and three years at the sister studio in Kirkwood). Cara's knowledge of the dance, her patience, humor, talent, dedication to her students, and amazing personality make each class the highlight of my week. Through trips to Spain, workshops, and tablaos in ATL with top dancers/ singers, you will not only become a great dancer and meet people from all over the world, you will gain a new flamenco family.
