This is a wonderful place. Going back to get your GED in your 40's is scary. But the wonderful teachers there help so much. Especially Mrs. Russell, she has never given up on me. It's taken me little longer than most to get where I am right now in the program. But she makes a point to find different ways to teach things so everyone can learn in different ways. She truly cares and is just as excited as you are when you pass a test. Wonderful place

I studied for my GED here. Having been homeschooled all my life, the classroom setting was a new experience for me and really didn’t know what to expect. However, the atmosphere was very warm and encouraging, and the teachers made the time go by quickly.

Mrs. Russel (one of the teachers) has such an amazing bubbly personality and has an obvious passion to helping people succeed. I spent most of my time under her teaching and enjoyed every second of it. I didn’t get to spend as much time with Mrs. Hester but she was the teacher later in the week, and was really nice and warm as well.

When you come here, it’s not just a room full of strangers, it’s a family. I always was amazed how everyone remembered my name and always made me feel personally welcomed each time I attended class. I was concerned at first I’d be publicly embarrassed if I didn’t know something that everyone else did, but that’s the point of going. We’re all on different steps of the staircase. But there’s no judgement.

If you are thinking about getting your GED but aren’t sure or are hesitant, check out this center. I’d highly recommend it. You will succeed! There’s no rush to finish, and you won’t leave that place until they know you’re ready to take the test. Even if you feel you will take longer than some to finish, Mrs. Russel and Mrs. Hester will happily help you succeed. That’s what this place is for!
