During the holiday season, I encountered concerns with my horse, suspecting the possibility of EPM.  He was (and still is) displaying neurological concerns as well as swelling hind right leg.  Central Georgia Equine Services was the only emergency provider I could reach. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The veterinarian did not conduct a thorough examination, citing the horse’s inability to stand still as the reason. Instead, she administered a temporary painkiller (ACE) and told me to bring my horse to their clinic tomorrow if he was still displaying the same behavior.  The veterinarian and vet tech then returned to their vehicle, displaying unprofessional behavior by laughing. This left me with no clear diagnosis or understanding of my horse’s condition. Overall, it felt as though their primary concern was the payment rather than providing proper care for my horse.

They are awesome. Closest Dental Veterinarian to us in Adrian, GA. Very helpful from the first fone call all the way through the appointment.
If they were closer, I'd want to use them for all our Equine veterinary care.

Dr. Cook and staff is amazing! She has been my equine vet since 2019. Dr. Cook has done everything from vaccines, teeth floating, a castration, and chemotherapy treatments for my horse and donkeys. She was there when I needed her when we had an emergency and very reasonably priced considering what all we had done. Dr. Cook is there to answer any questions you have, and she is always upfront and honest with you!!! She also does farm calls which is super convenient.

Best Large Animal Hospital! Not only do they give your animals excellent care, but they also take the time to teach you about their condition, with props, test results, and anything else they have. I've yet to have a human doctor explain to the extent that Dr. Cook and her staff do!

Dr. Cook and her two veterinarian associates came to my barn this afternoon for my four horses. They did thorough physicals exams, pulled coggins, administered immunizations, chipping and checked one’s injured eye. They were punctual, professional and so knowledgeable. They came prepared for whatever they could encounter. I am very pleased with my new equine veterinarians at Central Georgia Equine.

Dr. Lindsay Heinen is absolutely amazing. I called a couple of Saturdays ago for an injury I found on my horse and she responded and came to my barn so quickly. I expected to be waiting forever be she came almost immediately. She was super friendly and explained everything she did to treat my horse’s injury, giving clear instructions on what I should do going forward. She was super flexible with scheduling a follow up appointment, and she has been the most responsive vet I’ve ever had any time I needed to text her questions or updates. I really feel like I can rely on her to help me with anything I need for my horse’s health. She’s definitely great!

We were lied to about hay. I went to their place to look at hay. They showed me a stack that I agreed to buy. My husband went down the next day to get it and they gave him different hay that was bad. Not fit for horses. They did a tricky bait and switch on us. They wouldn't take it back when we called them. Very bad way to do business.
