I’ve always wanted to go to a drive in movie theater and this one did not disappoint! The price for tickets is cheaper than most theaters I’ve ever been to. The screen is massive and there’s plenty of parking spots! We used a portable radio to dial into the station that way we didn’t have to run down our car battery. There are plenty of bathrooms and they were all clean and stocked well. And the concession stand was the star of the show!! So many candies I’d never seen before and you can’t get at a regular theater. The corn dogs were a hit and their grilled cheese was perfect! They have big selection of limited edition cups and popcorn buckets too! This was a perfect date night and would definitely be fun for the whole family, highly recommend checking them out! Also the oldies playing before the movie made me feel like I was in the 1950s and I absolutely loved that feeling!

We went on a sold-out weekend to see Twisters. It's my fault for not waiting longer vs. going opening weekend. We waited in the concession line for an hour and a half, and I'm NOT exaggerating! It would be nice if they would put in some kind of system where you could order concession vs. standing in a 2 hour line out in the heat! Otherwise, it's a fun place to spend time with the family. Updated from 3 to 5 stars because the service was excellent, and even though they were EXTREMELY busy, the staff were all very nice and apologetic. Plus, whoever is running this page immediately responded to my review, which has NEVER happened, and I review almost everywhere I go. So THANK YOU to the management at Chief Drive In Theatre! Excellent customer service! I will definitely be back!

We always go early so we can enjoy a burger basket before the movie starts.

Extremely rude attendant. My wife and I drove up from Lawton for a date night and we had an empty chick-fil-A cup and bag in the car. We were told to go home and stop wasting the attendants time because no food was allowed in side. I said it trash and that I would throw it away. He asked if I could read. I tried to be polite and offer to throw it away again and tried to explain I was planning on spending a decent amount of money to support a dying business type. He was so rude to my wife in particular. I wouldn’t go here again if they paid me. The attendant or owner or whoever he was needs to take a good hard look in the mirror. Do NOT go!

Personnel

Drove from Edmond to test this place out. They do not allow outside food or drinks, which is understandable. What's not understandable is that if you are forcing customers to buy all their beverages and food from you then at least have 2 cashiers going. The line was so long and slow. We got there as soon as the gate opened and parked up front. Stood in line until sundown. Do better! Ordered 2 burgers exactly the same but they still messed up our order. They have little kids working behind the counter which is kind of insalubrious.

Read a review of them turning away a family with two children under 3 because they mentioned they had eaten dinner already. Told em to just turn around and go on home. Have seen at least 4 other posts like it. The owner seems to be petty, hasty, and rude. Why would you RUIN a family night for the kids? Why assume they won’t buy concessions? Horrible decision

So sad I’m writing this review.

We’ve been driving down to this drive in for over 3 years. Sometimes we would come specifically for the burgers. The past 6 months, they have been unable to keep up with the increased business and have asked people to be patient. Our food orders have gone from 20 minutes to over an hour. Fine.

We went this past weekend after a baseball game. It was 104 degrees on Saturday. When I paid, the attendant asked me to roll down my window so he could check the back seat… ok. I obliged. We were relatively close to the front of the line. We got in and the line for concession stand was already long. My son simply wanted something to drink (we’ve started eating before going lately, because the food is declining and taking forever). It was so hot and he was so sweaty, I finally pulled his water bottle out of his baseball bag and told him to fill it in the bathroom. He came back with hot water. He got in the concession stand line and it took 45 minutes just to reach the building. If you cannot accommodate the crowds and provide water for patrons.. you need to allow for a cooler fee. I’m all about supporting local businesses and paying what is required, Denying people access to water should be criminal. You have young children, breast feeding mothers and elderly patrons in summer heat.

We will unfortunately not be back. I cannot, in good faith, continue to support this business practice. Winchester and Beacon both do cooler fees, and that is where we will be going from now on.

We love going to the drive in and the Cheif is the best! We do the date night special where we get tickets for 2, 2 burgers and fries, 2 large drinks in collector cups, and a large bucket of popcorn all for $60! We spend more than that at the regular theater for 1 movie, drinks, and popcorn and here we get 2 movies plus dinner!
