Love the Fred Kavil theater- intimate setting. The show was Bruce Hornsby and a band called yMusic. Not what I expected but SO much more. Great night!! Also saw Melissa Ethridge 5 nights earlier. Don't miss either.

Attended @NewWestSymphony presentation of Brubeck to Beethoven in the Kavli Theater. Started with Ansel Adams: America. Next was Barber Adagio for Strings which included 35 young local musicians. Then, Beethoven Symphony No. 5. The music was excellent, however the venue is uninspiring and lacking personality. The stage and background are not at the quality level of the music.

Truly among my favorite venues to see a live show in Ventura County. Not super intimate but somehow the rest of the audience and staff make it feel that way. Sound is great too.

This is such an excellent and comfortable venue for a concert or play! Seats are great, plenty space in the rows for folks to excuse themselves. My only complaint is they could definitely use MORE BARS! The wait was veeery long for a drink. And I didn't bother getting a second one because the line was so long and I sure as heck wasn't going to miss Melissa Etheridge playing so I could get a vodka soda! Otherwise, great experience!
