Beware: Clarcona horse park is peaceful and beautiful. The staff is nice and the restrooms and property are clean and well maintained. However, be aware that there is a homeless population in the nearby trail area living in the woods. And there is easy access to the park without security since the trail runs along side it. Our mountain bike was stolen from our site the night before we left. When we reported this matter to the office, they told us that things like this happen as they don't have any security at this park. Someone should have cautioned us when we checked in to tell us that we should lock our bikes at night. It is sad to say that they have a lot of homeless people around this area. They said that they are working on installing cameras, but having a security person monitoring the night would be a better service. It is the first time we stay at a place without security. Even if the campers need to pay a small fee.

Great parking in the shade for West Orange Trail connection. If you like horses, there are events here.
A small shady campground is on site as well.
You are supposed to be able to utilize the restrooms in the camping area during daylight hours when using the trail, but I have not always been successful at finding it unlocked.
These most recent photos are from April 2023, and it shows that the water fountain is not working! All other Orange County Parks I’ve been to have working fountains for humans and animals. Please come fix this!

Great showgrounds. Have shown there for the past 7 years through 4-H ? and the rings are amazing rain or shine. Stalls are clay with wooden sides so I recommend bringing extra shavings. They provide some but run a bit thin for a weekend show. Everything is within easy walking and riding distance. They do have a concession stand that is spacious with AC but could use improvement food wise. Good bathrooms, but can get a bit hot in the summer. Very fun place to ride!

Love this place for a quick and easy getaway in our RV. The price is fantastic and very chill there. You can rest and relax under the many trees that are located here. Sometimes you can get a little show by seeing the horses practicing. We also like talking our bikes out on the West Orange Bike Trail.

Nice calm horse park & camping grounds tucked away in NW Orange County (Apopka). I initially came here to fill sandbags in preparation for Hurricane Nicole (Nov. 2022), and left with an appreciation of these no-frill park and campgrounds. Clean, quiet & peaceful. I'll have to come back camping sometime, or for a horse show.

We camped here for a few nights. It truly is beautiful. They get super crazy busy when there’s horse shows but that is a super cool thing to see highly recommend camping here very peaceful. Really enjoyed a time here.

I love this park! Always clean and well maintained and the staff are friendly, efficient and knowledgeable! Weekends when there are horse shows are great!

Came here for camping very clean I think the staff name is Keith insured us that’s this is peaceful and very clean and exactly that it is coming back very soon hopefully a horse show is there when I come back
