I have just become a client and my 20 month old English black lab their patient. Marshall has a little bit of anxiety with the visit and refused to enter the building. After much coaching she entered and the staff was so supportive and were friendly and informative. Dr. Kong was understanding of Marshall's apprehension and got the job done with no stress.

After using another veterinary service for 25 years the business was sold and we were not thrilled with the new owner. We are so pleased with the relationship that we have established with the doctors at Cotati Small Animal. Extremely knowledgeable. They listen. The staff is fantastic. Kind and understanding. I always rave about the customer service at Cotati Small Animal Hospital! They are the only Vet in my experience to suggest and provide a "chill protocol" to help calm our very vet-anxious dogs prior to their appointments. Everyone at this vet goes way out of their way to sooth and comfort our dogs, Dr. Kong has even kneeled on the floor to get to the dogs level to conduct an exam. The techs are very knowledgeable and professional. The office staff are always extremely helpful.

Fantastic veterinary clinic. From making the appt, to leaving the office it was smooth sailing. Friendly and warm staff with a coup;le of sweet office dogs. Who doesn't love and office like that? Dr. Kong gave a lot of time to my dogs and was so helpful in solving some long term issues. Very grateful and highly recommend.

Very good care given to our dog. Consistently. Last time, when she needed care but they had no available appointment, they offered that we leave her and they would work her in. She came back to us good-to-go, and with a courtesy nail clip. Thank you Cotati Small Animal Hospital.

I have gone here many times before and used to love this place, but that recently changed. They claimed my cat needed to be under anesthesia to get an x-ray done, which was done but was not necessary. I know this because I went to another vet who had to redo the x-ray (because Cotati Small Animal Hospital failed to send the initial x-ray to another clinic) and the x-ray was done without any anesthesia and only took a few minutes by the other clinic I went to, which they did not charge for. So not only did my cat get anesthesia he did not need at Cotati Small Animal Hospital (and a $600 bill that could’ve been much less), but also they did not send over the x-rays to the clinic they referred us to, even after we called to confirm they sent them over a few days after they said they would. I will no longer be coming to Cotati small animal hospital for my veterinary needs anymore, though I wish I did not come across this poor experience.
