Riding in the horse drawn sleigh is THE best way to experience the Christmas lights in St. Augustine! We loved it just as much as our 5 year old daughter. Steampunk Santa was also super understanding when we were running a couple minutes behind trying to park. We'll be doing this every year now!

My wife loves carriage rides and we try to take them in any city that offers them. I did not get the name of the young lady conducting the tour but she and her little dog were great. A fact filled tour and most enjoyable ride. Just look for a carriage covered with flowers.

This Country CARRIAGES does not care about spreading the Christmas Joy that the rest of “Night of Lights” has. This business is money laundering and or also not giving the IRS the truth of their earnings. They charge $25 per adult and $25 per child and in 2024 they do not about any cash app/ Zelle/square/debit any card payment while all the other vendors do. Imagine walking miles across the freezing cold off point a to b in Saint Augustine, and making a family trip across the state for your child’s birthday and then they tell you they won’t take your $100 via anything other than cash. No holiday spirit .(I never thought I’d need cash and the nearest atm as told by the country carriages is “broken”.

My mom is 80 years old and shared this year she has always wanted to ride in a horse and carriage but never has. She also loves Christmas lights more than anyone I know. So I did what any good daughter would do. I scheduled a 2 night stay in St. Augustine and a private carriage ride with Country Carriages. Mom had no trouble stepping up into the carriage. I am not sure how we got a 10pm ride when they seem to close at 9 but Christina and her beautiful horse Kate made us feel very special. It is clear they take great care of their horses and do not work them to death just trying to make money. It was cold but they provided nice thick blankets. Then for about an hour, Christina and Kate steered us through the spectacular light display of over 4 million lights while learning about the history of America's birthplace. We will definitely do this again!

My driver Tom was great!! I took my girlfriend on a beautiful cool night stroll to look at the lights. Well, I let Tom know I wanted to propose and he took us to the most amazing spot. Thank you to Tom and Pop for making our special night an amazing experience.

We made a reservation for a haunted carriage ride. Our host was Sadie and her horse’s name was Ron. It was an excellent adventure as she told us stories about the historic town and took us sightseeing around areas we had not explored yet. I would highly recommend. It was amazing!

Joe was amazing and Prince his horse was beautiful and calm even though it was bike week and all the motorcycles were cruising by. This was our second time doing a carriage ride here and we were lucky enough to get Joe again. History of Saint Augustine is Apex. Our friends from Virginia were visiting and they had a blast too. Highly highly recommend this company and Joe. ( The horses are loved and well cared for too ).

much more intimate history lesson and explanation of the "Old City". Christine and "Rose" were amazing and funny. Truly enjoyed the horse drawn tour of St Augustine.
