I just switched veterinaries after 6 years with my Sasha Belle. The staff is so friendly. Dr. Ryan really does a thorough exam and is so loving towards my old girl! If you’re not happy where you are going, I highly recommend St. John Coyne!
P.S. I live in Chesterton…well worth the drive! 🥰

My rescue dog (Fess) has always been HORRIBLE at the vet. He’s been having a lot of issues getting around lately due to his arthritis given he is 13. We usually sedate him for exams but given his old age, Dr. Kyle wanted to do as much as possible without sedation. The team was incredible and they were able to accomplish exactly what I requested without putting him under - including giving him a much needed bath which he has not had in probably 3 years with how agitated he becomes. I am so appreciative and am in awe for their ability to deal with a difficult dog and act like it was no big deal. I am hopeful that the new treatment plan we established will help with Fess’s overall quality of life. Thank you Coyne and Dr. Kyle!! &Fess apologies for being bad.

Very satisfied with our first visit today. Our pup was vomiting a lot with bloody stools so naturally we needed to get her checked. When I arrived at Coyne, check in was quick and we were brought into a room in a timely manner. Dr. Vandermyde was great. She took the time to listen to all of our concerns and she did not make us feel rushed. We know our baby girl was well taken care of.

I would not recommend this place solely based on the behavior of a tech “manager” that they employ, Emily. She is rude, unsympathetic, and not very knowledgeable about anything that is going on. She provides improper training to her other techs and they are all clearly not on the same page as one tech says one thing then she comes in and says a completely different thing. This is all just to take more money from a struggling dog mom. She will not give you answers to any of your common questions, such as “if something was done wrong in the surgery will your doctor take care of the fix without charge?” The answer will be “we’ll see”. Highly unprofessional and definitely not a very caring and compassionate person.

I came there on an emergency bases,on advise of a friend, they are not an emergency care facility. I received excellent care! The staff and Dr. are very knowledgeable and genuinely care about our fur babies. Somewhat expensive but compared to other vets in the area they really aren't, remember you get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend this place. A+ rating

Hollie has cancer, but Coyne is fighting for her! With there wonderful Doctors and caring staff! 👍🏼
