What a great place to find some local art! Not only paintings, prints, and photos -- but also beautiful wood pieces made on a lathe, glass items, a bit of pottery, jewelry, cards and more. If you are in Fairplay, you need to visit here. The workers are the artists who display their crafts here. Very friendly!

I'm a local and have not been to Coyote Creek in a couple years. There is a really nice collection of local art here. There are original paintings, prints, wood carvings, jewelry and lots of other mediums too. They have at least a couple new artists since the last time I visited. AND! They appear to hold classes as well.

Highly recommend stopping by Coyote Creek if you are visiting Fairplay.

I love discovering new gallery spaces, and coop galleries like this are usually a lot of fun. While we were there, we even talked to an artist who makes hats. Not only does she make them, but she raises the sheep, sheers them, cleans and cards the wool, then makes the hats. She even showed us two new hats she had just finished. Pretty cool!
