Beautiful location.
Found mouse poo in two areas: bedroom and bathroom. No response from head of housekeeping and or Kathleen Crook, owner after I informed them of it being found.

Also be aware for the chemically sensitive, they will charge you $30/hour to "re clean" everything with scent free products.
We brought our own linens thankfully, after being told they used Windex and Pine Sol. We found neither of those products anywhere. Pics of what they use for cleaning products and of the poo poo.
It's unfortunate that this was our experience for our anniversary weekend. 🙁

I’ve worked at close to 100 venues here in Oregon, and there is nothing quite like Crook Point! Couples are drawn to it because of its mix of coastal + forest vibes, and it truly is a magical combination. We’ve had the pleasure of working at Crook Point several times at the Arch Rock Main Lawn and Birdie’s Lawn venues which are absolutely stunning, and we’re excited to work at the new Mervue Estate this summer.

While there certainly are challenges when planning a wedding at a remote location like this, everything is clear from the get-go in terms of what the couple’s responsibilities are, what’s provided, what’s not, what the venue’s responsibilities are, etc. They provide a wonderful preferred vendor list to couples which is extremely helpful – with a more DIY venue like this, you want to secure a solid vendor team who is familiar with the space.

We are honored and thrilled any time we get to plan a wedding out at Crook Point, and we can’t recommend this venue highly enough!

We chose Crook Point for our wedding solely based on pictures (Since we didn't live nearby). It more than exceeded our expectations. As a venue it was beautiful, breathtaking, and brilliant.

Our wedding was on the main lawn, which has a view of Arch Rock. We also wanted pictures on a beach, and we were able to use the beach that was accessible through the rental homes.

One thing to note: All of our vendors required a travel fee because of the distance and some also charged extra due to an overnight stay. This is something to keep in the back of your mind, but Crook Point is well worth it. All of the vendors had great things to say about their interactions with the space. Crook Point provided a tent for the vendors and plenty of parking space.

The Crook's were easy to work with and flexible to our desires. If you are looking for a venue on the Oregon Coast, we would highly recommend Crook Point.

One of my bridesmaids put it best. When she first walked onto the lawn at Crook Point her jaw dropped and she was like.. "Katy, how did you find this place. This is the most beautiful venue I've ever seen." Crook Point is just like that. It has a wow factor that was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I've been a wedding photographer for 10 years, and when it came to choosing my own wedding venue, I was extremely picky. But I only toured one place - and that was Crook Point. One I found it, I was sold. The lawn on the cliff overlooking the ocean, surrounded by ferns, forest, and beaches was exactly what I had been looking for. The fact they had beach houses that half my guests could stay in sealed the deal.

Crook Point is perfect if you want to have a large (or small) outdoor destination wedding at a stunning coastal location, without having to deal with much wind. The fact that we could have ocean views AND be surrounded by majestic trees and ferns with gorgeous PNW vibes was amazing. Kathleen and her family were great at communicating with us throughout the process, and I honestly felt like I made a new friend in the wedding industry when I met her.

I'm going to recommend this venue to all my couples in the future, and I'll recommend it to anyone who wants a wedding venue with stunning natural beauty that feels like an escape from everyday life and the rest of the world. Our entire weekend was perfect in every way and I will always be grateful that I found this place and that they hosted my friends and family so graciously and made everyone SO happy. Yes, it's a pretty new venue, but they won't let you down. It's amazing. See it for yourself.

When I thought about my dream venue, I pictured something open/big and of course I wanted a nice view. After doing some research on what was available in my area, I saw crook Point, and I knew it was the one! Not only are you surrounded with the best scenery but the owners & staff of Crook Point were nothing but amazing. Kathleen (Owner) was such an incredible person to work with. Getting married in the middle of a pandemic added so much stress but Kathleen made it as stress free as possible for us, I can't thank her enough! If your looking for the best view and service, then crook point in the one! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone.

There is no denying that Crook Point is a STUNNING venue. All of our guests commented on the beautiful location and our photos are GROGEOUS. So, if you are willing to put in the work/risk, it can really pay off. BUT, there are some real detractions from this venue: 1) They have NO RAIN PLAN! I signed up knowing this (so that's 100% on me) but it's just ridiculous for an Oregon venue. And they are so protective of their grass that when there was the possibility of rain even a day or two before our event they were saying they would have to relocate us to the gravel parking lot to protect the grass if it did rain (which defeats the beauty of the venue!). 2) The venue is nothing except a venue - unlike many event spaces/wedding venues, they offer very little in terms of rentals or support staff. It is on you to get EVERYTHING and to set it all up/break it down/dispose of trash/etc. 3) Relatedly, the venue is pretty remote which means you will either pay a LOT to get vendors to travel and/or be limited in the vendors you can hire. When fires closed the roads out to the coast it complicated vendor issues even more - I had a vendor cancel day of cause they wouldn't travel the extra distance. 4) Management's communication leaves something to be desired. They were not the most responsive when I had questions and took over 2 months (and 6+ phone calls/emails!) to send us our deposit. But if you know what you are signing up for, you can have a beautiful event.

We planned our wedding and vacation to Crook Point last year. Unfortunately, we ended up having to cancel. But Kathleen was so fantastic to work with, from start to finish. She was professional, always responded in a timely manner, she was so helpful and answered my 100000000 questions, and when we hand to cancel due to an emergency she was so understanding. She made the planning process so much easier for us, and even though we couldn’t go we are so thankful we got to work with her.
Definitely book with Crook Point. You won’t be disappointed!
