I am so grateful for this rescue. Hero was hours maybe minutes away from being put down when they saved him.

When I heard about him, I knew I had to have him. Dealing with the rescue couldn't be easier. They made the adoption process super easy, were very honest with all of Hero's behavioral and medical issues and constantly checked in on us during the first difficult months.

Even almost 5 years later, I always get a text asking about him. Delilah's changed my life and if I ever got another dog it would be from them.

We recently adopted a little 5 month old puppy that was found abandoned in GA with her sisters. Not all made it and they were all so skinny and scared. Now I have the chance to help mold her into the best dog she can be. She is full of love and energy This rescue is great and I appreciate all the hard work that goes into all there rescues. The initial adoption process was really great and thorough. All of the people we had talked with prior to bringing our puppy home were awesome and you can tell they care about where their puppies go. With that, we did have a bad experience with one of the employees failing to send our vet previous records as she said was no problem at all. It had been over 4 weeks after adopting without having anything for our vet. Under the impression our vet would have the records because this is what we were told, the vet appointments we scheduled on our own to get our puppy established ended up being pointless. We also had to cancel trainings, ultimately losing our hard earned money from both of these things. We began to question whether or not our baby had even ever received vaccinations because of how much it was being dismissed. It wouldn’t have been such an issue however, the communication with said employee fell off and we couldn’t even get a response until the owner came in to figure it out. We love to support small local businesses, especially a rescue. But at the end of the day it was unfortunate to have a bad experience post adoption and really hope they never put anyone through this stress again especially because all we were doing was trying to be good owners and care for our wonderful and loving boy.

There isnt enough space here to fully elaborate on what Deliahs means to our family. From seniors to pups, they have they have followed through with helping us with the best adoptions. All dogs have been healthy and medically cared for by the resuce before coming to us. We are so thankful for all the work that Ashley and Jen put into the rescue. Cookie was rescued from a neglect situation. She was not very trusting. She came to our home and became a full fledged family member.

When I read through her medical history, I realized all of the effort that had been taken to rescue her, very impressive!

We met Cookie at Pet Smart. I completed the application on line while in the store. Later that day I spoke with their rep and we took a video tour of the house [and they met the other dog]. They were very complete and detailed. I was impressed.

Delilahs 2nd Chance is an impressive organization. I have already shared them with other people looking for a dog. I recommend th highly.

I highly recommend Delilah’s!! She was able to pair us with our amazing dog Roxy after we lost our previous dog. She is very thorough with making sure that both you and your potential pup are compatible with each other. Even after adoption she checks in to make sure everything is going well.
