Deltona Regional Library is a hidden treasure in the area, and it's easily one of the best libraries I've visited in a long time.

What truly sets this library apart is the breathtaking nature preserves located right behind it. There are three hiking trails to choose from: a half-mile, a 1.7-mile, and a 3-mile (5k) walk. Each trail offers a beautiful, serene walk, complete with signs that educate you about the various plant and animal species you might encounter. It's the perfect way to combine outdoor exploration with a love for learning.

Inside, the library is just as impressive. Upon entering, you'll find a well-organized and welcoming space, complete with a teen section, information manuals about events in Deltona, and convenient self-checkout stations. The children's center is a standout feature, offering both indoor and outdoor play areas. It’s filled with bean bags, toys, and even a little treehouse—making it feel almost like a daycare. There are also computers loaded with games for kids to enjoy, creating a fun and educational environment.

For those seeking a quiet place to study or work, the library provides plenty of options. There are cozy, hidden nooks with comfy couches, each equipped with a pullout desk and charging stations for your phone or laptop. The study rooms are perfect for focused work, and I was delighted to find a community chess club and a puzzle area where you can unwind and engage with other visitors.

Deltona Regional Library offers something for everyone—whether you’re here to read, study, let the kids play, or enjoy a peaceful hike. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a unique and enriching experience.

I like this location. The kids area is clean, organized and engaging. The museum connected to it is a unique addition. Book selection is ok for adults. However, I like that they have a bookstore inside, which I find more interesting than the books inside the adult section of the general library area. Tax dollars well spent.

They just upgraded the kids section recently they added a wall, to I guess keep sound in, and also puzzles and kitchen sets with toddler couches and tables. Also the playground is cute and connected to the kids area of the library. So much to do here but these are my favorites.

The kid area is expansive with many areas for the kids to play and learn. There is even a small outside area for small children. Staff is great with the kids. We've never had an issue, even when the kids haven't been on their best behavior.

I love my local library! The location seems a bit out there, but I love that there's a nature preserve behind the library that you can walk. There's a great selection of physical DVDs, and most new releases are ordered for this location. There's a rotating door to get inside, however there are doors on either side with buttons to open automatically.

My only complaint is regarding the wifi - my phone will absolutely not connect to my network once inside the building, and they (seemingly on a totally random basis) sometimes have password-protected access to their wifi. Being that this is a public building that provides many necessary resources, and where people go who don't have their own access, the wifi should be readily accessible at all times.
