This place has a wonderful atmosphere, and the food was absolutely amazing. The service was top-notch as well. I recently saw Dracula, and it was the best show I've ever seen there, and I've been many times! I can't wait to see more shows like this in the future. Highly recommend!

I’ve been here for a bunch of different shows over the last 4 years and love it every single time! The shows are always great fun and the servers are very nice, they take your drink and dessert order (this is usually done during the intermission between the acts). They’ll have a special drink menu to go along with the current production which really ties together the food & show. The buffet will rotate some food options but I have noticed each time I’ve gone there is ziti and a salad bar, I believe you can look ahead of time at what the dinner menu will be.
I 100% recommended catching a show here and will definitely be back for future productions!

Had an incredible time at Urinetown: The Musical! I had no idea the wait staff was the cast until they got up to sing! I'm definitely looking forward to coming back for shows again next season.

Wasn't crazy about the food, but the show was so good I still feel like I got my money's worth for the evening. (Drinks and desserts are an additional cost, but are very tasty and moderately priced!)

First time going, and OMG, what a fantastic place. The whole experience was just awesome. We had drinks in the lounge before we git let in and shopped at the gift shop. Then, once we got seated, we made it to the buffet, and the food was delicious. They had a very nice selection and everything was hot and fresh. We saw A Christmas Carol the musical, and it was absolutely amazing. The performances we as good as any Broadway show I have seen. Overall, I give this place a 10 out of 10 and will definitely be back.

I don't come here for the food. And that being said the food doesn't taste bad, but it's not Completely fine dining experience. But the spectacular plays and performances that go on here are incredible. This is a hidden gym in the area. And there's a must see. I highly recommend everybody. Go at least once also go in a group of four because you get seated with other people if you don't

Just want to compliment the staff of Derby Dinner Playhouse as they celebrate their 50th year in business. We visited three times in 2024 and once already in 2025 in addition to multiple times over the last decades. I've taken school groups and visited with family. In EVERY instance the service and the productions have been consistent and predictable in a good way. I'm not a huge buffet fan, but honestly the consistent quality of the food served must be applauded. The salad bar is terrific and the protein options are always tasty and cooked appropriately. The wait staff, many of whom have been there for years, are friendly and attentive even while whipping off their aprons and singing/dancing a quick intro before the main feature. I appreciate the effort it takes from management to ensure guests get a quality experience.

Derby dinner is such a wonderful experience. I get season tickets for the adult shows, and I also have season tickets with my daughter for the kids shows. It is a wonderful experience. Highly recommend to anyone. The only complaint that I have is that people are able to reserve seats over a year in advance. So if you buy season tickets when the season opens, you may already have packed shows. It makes it really difficult to plan. But the shows are wonderful and the service is amazing.
