Absolutely the best place for training, they take time with not just the dog but with the owner as well in understanding the training and the path to success. Amazing and knowledgeable trainers. My dog also loves their daycare service and they truly do care for the dogs. Blessed to have a place like this in such a small town. (Pic of my big boy at daycare)

These guys are incredible!!! After just one lesson our crazy 1 year old golden retriever puppy has gone from yanking us around the yard, bothering us at dinner, and just being crazy on the leash, to being a very obedient good boy. Not a single time was my dog ever mistreated, nor was I instructed to do anything that made me feel like I was hurting or mistreating my dog to correct him on any behaviors. Now, my crazy dog will sit in his bed while we eat, clean the house, have guests over, and when we take him on the leash to go potty, he doesn’t yank at all. Another thing I’m pleased to comment on is that my dog’s personality hasn’t changed in any way. He is still the happy-go-lucky pup he was before training, he just now has the behavior tools and mindset to be a good boy. I can’t wait to see how he acts after all 6 classes and I can’t recommend this couple enough. Big or small, they can handle it all.

I wanted to leave this review to really highlight how great the trainers are at DeRidder dog training studio 🤍 I brought in my shiba inu (who are notorious for being some of the worst dogs to train🥲) for boarding to help with his potty training and anxiety. He kept having accidents indoors and would either pull on the leash or sit and refuse to move on walks.

His first week of boarding he was so nervous, but he has absolutely blossomed and turned into such a confident well mannered dog!!

Even though we originally only took him just for potty/anxiety, the trainers have taught him so many obedience lessons that I have gotten so many compliments from his vet techs and people who knew him beforehand! I feel so much more confident with my little guy and he has learned tricks and changed his behavior i didn’t know was even possible 😭

I didn’t know they would help as much as they did 🤍 If you are having problems with your dog please consider going to give these guys a visit !!

I cannot say better things about the training team at the studio. I came in with a 2.5yr old Shepherd/Malamute rescue who was very dog/people reactive due to anxiety/instinct and most likely had a bite record I wasn’t told about.

Sirius (the dog) and I did the 6 week program and needed every single session.

Session 1 was great, Sirius was happy to have a job and earn treats.
Session 2 was also awesome and Sirius did great while I needed a bit of coaching.
Session 3 was a wreck. The dog couldn’t focus, he had pushed my nerves all week and I was at my wits end. The team was SO great with us, and just kept encouraging me.
By Session 4 I was ready to fight the dog bare handed (I would lose) and Travis was awesome. I left feeling encouraged that we had made progress and that this aggressive wreck of a dog had potential that I was too involved to see.
Session 5 saved my relationship with the dog. Being able to take the dog for a walk with him at a heel opened up the neighborhood to us, it meant that he could gain exposure to people and other dogs, and it gave us something productive to do together.
Session 6 was awesome was the perfect note to end on.

I felt like going to training each week was a breath of relief for both Sirius and me. I left feeling like I had been coached and feeling that Sirius had a good time. I have recommended so many of my friends bring their dogs!

My only regret is that I didn’t take a “before” video. Sirius went from an anxious (medicated for it) dog who expressed his anxiety through aggression to a people/puppy/kid/kitten/horse friendly dog who let a kid pull on his ears this morning and greeted the AC repair guy with nothing more than an alert “Boof” this afternoon.

I had a terrible experience with this facility. My Grandson Pup was boarded with their facility and was only there for two day before he died while in there hands. I hope everyone considers this before using this facility again. I noticed that there are only positive reviews. You can’t tell me that they have never received a negative comment.
I have been in the animal care profession for over 35-years and I am applaud that is could have happened. I am really concerned if there employees know how to perform Canine CPR. I am so hurt that this happened to him especially when I saved him from and abusive home.

My dog, Penny, and I were a part of one of their first group trainings. In three weeks I feel much more confident in my dogs ability because I was taught to be more consistent with my training.
Penny is now less scared of other dogs, because she trust that I can handle the situation and looks to me for her next move. This all happened within THREE Saturday group classes and training at home throughout the week! Travis and Ashley answered all of my many questions. Thank You!!

Just picked up my crazy mutts yesterday and have started working on them at home. I thought there was witchcraft involved when I came to get them and they stayed in place! I feel like I got the perfect life coaches for managing my animals - they gave me a head start on training and the tools and instructions I needed to better communicate and set boundaries in the house. One of my dogs has a history of aggression and they even worked with having her share spaces with other dogs. Lots of work ahead but very impressed with the results already!

Planned during a trip I was taking so it was a great value at about $1000 for 8 days of boarding, training, and equipment for 2 dogs.

We gained a puppy last week. She was obviously trained but we couldn’t find her owners. She was house trained and crate trained. The only issue was that she wanted to “pet” our older dog, which the older dog didn’t receive as love. I called DeRidder Dog training studios out of desperation. The dogs couldn’t be in the same place together. The owner suggested doggie day care. I dropped them off and they couldn’t be in the same room. I pick them up and they are happily in the same crate. I get them home and the older dog is resting as the younger dog is munching on a bone. IMO, this place works miracles. It is clean, welcoming and can handle dogs of all energy levels. I’d give it a 100 out of 5 if I could.
