I love this pet store, the staff has always been very helpful.A staff member named Avery (I think?!) helped me when setting up my aquarium and I appreciate her advice. The snails, shrimp and rummy-nosed tetras I purchased are all healthy and thriving. The other animals in the store also seem well cared for.

Karissa is so helpful!! My sons Beta fish has been struggling and she tested a water sample for free and gave me amazing tips! He wasn’t eating and the blood worms she suggested he finally ate today! His name is “Seahawk” and we are hoping he is thriving soon! If we get the hang of the tank and he starts living his best life, we will be in soon to add more fish!

I agree with the posting of the other one star reviews of poor customer service. Even my child and her friend were shocked, and they are 14!! That says a lot! It is rude to assume that someone is going to pick an animal for purchase when they cannot see them. Yes, I’m talking about the hamsters. We wanted to see them and we were asked, “Well are you purchasing one, or just looking ?” How is that even an appropriate question? I have to see them to know which one I want ! From the start it was not a good experience at all! We have been coming to this store for a few years now and seen the snooty behavior but today took the cake! I work and have worked in customer service for many years and this is no way to treat your customers. I also find it very odd that the owner is very combative in their responses to what people have to say on here. Honestly, if your girls are being rude to the customers and there are complaints about it, the last thing you do is say the customer is wrong and try to prove or say otherwise! Normally you address the situation from a professional point of view! That is all 🤗

Just moved here shopping around for pet stores and reading reviews I find it very disheartening that pet store owners treat their animals like figurines, these are live creatures and they need TLC you wouldn't have to spend so much money replacing the dead animals and reptiles if you just took care of them in the first place that's what I'm getting from all of the bad reviews. 🤔 I wonder if there's some way to get this business shut down maybe by the SPCA obviously there are issues here that need to be addressed and either corrected or the store should be shut down and I've read the responses from the owner to the one-star reviews and I have to say that's pretty bad customer service and management : /

My favorite place to be on a Sunday afternoon. Great vibes. Music. Animal selection. I can even grab a human snack as I walk around and look for my next addition to our family.

Bought rats from this store, firstly they lied about their age and secondly they gave me male rats when I asked for female rats. I returned them and didn’t get a refund or an apology, I will not be shopping here again.

I bought my two Guinea pigs Sage and Ivy there. It is way to expensive for them ( $50) but it is so worth it. A few staff know my family and how often we go there so they always let me help with the pigs there. Staff are always welcoming and I love that.

I have been frequenting the Ellensburg Pet Center for 20+ years and would give them more than 5 stars if I could. The best place ran by the best people. Professional, caring customer service and pets that are given the highest level of care. So much more than you could ever expect from a small town shop, and truly a centerpiece of the community.
