It’s historic and characterful, but that’s about it. I’ve sat in 3 different stands now and two of them are third world (seriously, Italian Serie D have better facilities) and one of the was alright. But, when you look at the prices charged, and the scruffy state of the place, something isn’t quite right. Plenty of pubs and restaurants around the ground though, so that’s a positive. Don’t rely on Supertram to actually operate services for the football.

I visited with my Dad in the away end yesterday. The facilities have obviously not been updated since the stadium was built over 100 years ago. The toilets are concrete everywhere, with some gutter for the urinal. There are 2 holes in the wall with 2 staff in each serving the whole away end, queues were ridiculous before the game and at half time. Bottles of Carling!! Is there a worse beer?

Posts in the middle of the stand, obscuring your view.

When leaving the stadium there is a line of stewards (approx 20/30), funnelling the away fans and home fans in the same direction. Fans from both sides were abusing each other over the stewards and 40 yards up the road the stewards aren’t there and the fans are together. We saw fans fighting just beyond the line of stewards. This could and should have been managed better, it’s like it wasn’t there problem as soon as they had them off of their property.

£30 for a midweek match and these facilities is daylight robbery

Very aged stadium that looks like it's not changed in 50 years. Very big ground. But it was very worn out and unattractive. Lots of corrugated plastic and metal. Lots of history. Very eerie in the awayend knowing what happened in past. Took a moment to pay respects at the memorial.
Stewards were decent to be honest. Flat atmosphere. Brilliant half time entertained getting dizzy people to take penalties!

I’m not a biased football fan but this stadium is very much one of the best in the area. I have been here multiple times with no problems whatsoever, and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. There are multiple places to get food and drinks on every area of the stadium and the tickets are well priced. Overall this is a great stadium to visit and I’ll be returning.

My dad and son booked on to the stadium tour today and had an amazing time. This was mostly down to the tour guide, Paul, a lovely and knowledgeable man. He was constantly asking if anyone had any questions and making sure that everyone was ok.
Paul is an asset to Sheffield Wednesday, and anyone partaking on a tour with him will have an amazing time. Thank you, Paul! ?
