If you haven't seen The Sound of Music yet, hurry! I've been to this theater a few times now, and I enjoy it a lot! My only complaints are that there's no clear handicap entry and no one has ever offered to help me find it. The other is that beverages and refreshments are in the basement. The Opera House is a historic building, I'm sure, so changing it would be impossible. The plays and shows are always amazing!

The show we went too was cool. The seating was very comfortable and I had adequate leg room. Wish there were bathrooms on the balcony floor but understandable. Never went down stairs. Place looked old but in a good way.

Great venue with comfortable seats. Very affordable over all, from the ticket prices to the refreshments (free cookies- donation accepted, pop cans and water $1). The only thing that stops me from giving a 5 is not enough bathrooms- for women anyway! Blake the house manager was awesome! funny, informative and always around, from running from the back of the house to help someone down the stairs to thanking guests as they left the theater. It is a bit of a drive for us, but I would go again for the right concert!

Last night I went to the Opera House to see Grease. WOW what a Fun and Entertaining production! I like theater and I have been to a few previous shows at the Opera house in years past and enjoyed them, but this show was the BEST they have ever done! All the folks that have contributed to making this musical should be very proud. I smiled and laughed through the whole show. I completely loved all the characters. The individuals on stage shined. I could tell that they love what they are doing and had worked hard to pull this together. Personalities showed through! The sound, lights, stage layout, signage, etc all flowed brilliantly! Who would have guessed that community theater could be this GREAT!?!!!
This is a show to attend!!!

Fantastic show for the price. While looking down their lineup for this winter so many that we would love to go back for. Such a Hidden Gem in Fairmont if you have not been to it you need to give it a try.

The venue is constantly improving. The freshly repainted interior is really looking luxurious and greatly adds to the historic vibe! Hard-working staff who treat their guests like family.

Came here to watch my sons girlfriend preform in a play. First time watching a play and first time here at the Oprea House. Was very impressed with the decor. Seating was very comfortable. The walkways were wide enough for people to move around.
