This is truly a gem in Birmingham. There are shows almost every week and they offer an excellent course to learn Improv or they have drop in classes each week. The theater venue is a really unique and cozy place. The shows are blast and the classes are even more fun! I highly recommend checking it out!

Cozy, eclectic little underground theater that consistently delivers the funniest improv I’ve ever seen. Perfect for any ‘what should we do tonight?’ situation: first date, third date, impressing out-of-town friends, girls’ night, boys’ night, co-ed breakup, honeymoon. Faraway is always so fun.

Faraway Theater is the magical home of Gladys Improv - Jacob Simmons, Michael Greene and Tim Casper. They do hilarious long form improv and will not only make you laugh but will also make you feel better about life, the universe and everything. Probably.

These guys Rock!! Michael and Tim led a private group session for my Sales Team and they absolutely crushed it. This was over a month ago and my Team is still talking about how great the improv class was. Very relevant info and activities for the group. I would highly recommend Faraway for any Corporate/Team Building events.

I’ve also attended a few drop in classes, and seen a couple of shows at the Theater. Very well run classes and the shows are HILARIOUS!! I plan to do one of their longer format classes soon and will definitely be back to more shows. Great things are happening at Faraway!

Michael Greene and Gladys put on fantastic, hilariously entertaining shows which translates into their teaching. I hope this theater is the start of an improv movement in Birmingham.
