I rode at FCS for 2.5 years before moving for work. In that time, my riding improved significantly, my knowledge of horsemanship was expanded, and I met a crew of lovely people at the barn.

Justyne runs a tight ship - her barn is kept clean and organized. The horses are treated well and their wellbeing is a top priority. I love that they’re generally turned out 24/7 in groups and allowed to just be horses.

She has a number of lesson horses that suit varying levels of riders. I had the opportunity to ride a variety of horses over the years and to push myself to learn from the different personalities and new disciplines. From a timid beginner to my first cross country jumps! She encourages students to participate in the local shows and she hosts top clinicians so that we have access to more instruction (FEI level dressage, 4* eventers, etc).

I had a great experience being part of the FCS family and look forward to returning one day!

FCS is a fantastic place to board and ride. Justyne and her crew are very attentive to a horse’s needs and run a very tight ship. Zero drama, safe, family friendly environment for all. In August, I brought Justyne a severely underweight thoroughbred and in one month she turned his body condition around completely! He is now a very chunky, happy horse. I will always recommend Justyne and FCS for anything horse-related. It is truly a five star facility.

My daughter really wanted to take riding lessons this summer. After some research I decided to take my 7 old beginner rider to FCS and I am really glad I did. The place is great! Clean, well run and organized facility, variety of horses for different experience levels, all the horses are clearly loved and well taken care of, Justyne and her crew are extremely knowledgeable and professional but also patient and friendly. You can tell that safety and comfort of riders and horses are a priority here. My daughter had an amazing time and learned so much! We highly recommend FCS Equestrian Center!

Had a bad accident when taking a group lesson in a pasture that was only partially lit on a horse said to likely take off with me. Broke my arm and my job worked with me during recovery however had it happened again it would’ve likely affected things and couldn’t risk my job. When I went to cancel lessons the initial deposit and remainder payment for the rest of the month was never payed back and was avoided.

After not having ridden in 22 years, I was apprehensive about "getting back in the saddle", but I have been AMAZED by my experience! FCS is a great barn with wonderful horses and fantastic people. The trainers I work with are knowledgeable, patient and fun. I look forward to all of my rides and can't wait to explore all of the options that FCS offers to a rider!

Justyne is an excellent trainer and as my daughter stayed it after our first lesson a while ago, "Mrs. Justyne is the best trainer I have ever had and sees Martis potential and I'll be showing soon. ". My daughter ride Western in V, in 2018 swapped to English here and it has taken bumps in the road to get us where we are, but Justyne is amazing while teaching, rides well and knows the equestrian
world, has great recommendations, encourages teens to volunteer at her farm to learn more and encourages my daughter.
we are very excited to see where Justyne takes Amber in the Equestrian realm. My husband and I feel that our daughter is finally learning about her horse, special modifications when needed and also will be showing soon like a true champ.

The key to great riding instruction lies in how well an instructor can communicate their knowledge and skill to their students.

I'm an older, experienced rider who owned/showed my own horse when I was younger. I've been "re-riding" again for about 10 years now and switched back to dressage in 2016, as it's my passion (and I'm at the age where I don't bounce like I used to and jumping made me nervous!) My goal has been to ride a 2nd Level test in a schooling show, since that's where I left off when I quit riding in my younger days.

It's been difficult to find an instructor who could help me fix my bad habits (hands buried in my lap, etc.), help me ride more correctly & effectively, and work toward that goal.

I've been riding with Justyne now since November of 2019 and am super happy with my progress taking my usual once-a-week lesson (which are very affordable.) She knows what to focus on so you don't feel nit-picked, and has the experience to be able to explain things multiple ways so if you don't understand one way, she can explain it in another way.

She's great at seeing what's happening at any moment with horse and rider, and being able to give instruction in real-time so you can be aware of what you're doing and how to fix it if it's not correct. I've been impressed over and over again how well she learns her horses and riders and how good she is at figuring out what's happening.

I'm impressed with her horses as well - she makes sure they are well-mannered on the ground, and I've never ridden school horses before where I didn't need a whip and/or spurs. I don't need either at Justyne's.

As for the barn, it's clean and well-kept and the horses are well cared-for. I'm happy to have found Justyne & FCS and am looking forward to continued improvement as a rider, and reaching my goal of showing at 2nd Level!
