As usual, the show at the Playhouse was great. Kong's Night Out was a fast paced pun delivering absurdist comedy. I don't know how the actors could keep their lines straight. Always a well done show at the Playhouse.

Update: In the Heights was great. A high energy song & dance show. Quite a few big numbers with the whole ensemble dancing up a storm. Wonderful evening.

"In The Hights" was an interesting interpretation of the Miranda play. Lots of singing and hi-jinks. The Playhouse always perfectly executes it's productions.

Great place to enjoy a play!
While the cast and backstage staff are amateurs (for the most part-they do get an occasional pro in), the plays are well done, and the scenery, props, lighting and various technical parts are handled as well as a professional play. Great customer service as well.

Come experience a play-we did, soon after moving to Gainesville, and then became season members!

Not sure if there are two names to this building. Excellent layout lighting and smoke effects. Saw Oliver was a great show. This place takes considerable measures during covid to give mask and require them throughout the show

We saw the Producers last year and Kinky Boots last Saturday. Both performances were stellar! Amazing local talent! Comfortable, professional venue! Cool, clean, nice seating, affordable tickets - what's not to like? No compromise quality entertainment! Great asset for Gainesville community!!

Went to see the Addams Family Musical there last night. The entire cast was amazing! Great job, everyone, and the theater itself was beautiful! It was my first time coming to see anything there.

I went to this playhouse and found it to not only be well built but beautiful. I had the honour of seeing Annie and was surprised at the detail of the stage and the professionalism of the child actors. For a few seconds when the stage curtain went up and the lights turned on to Annie I thought that I was watching a broadway play. Also make sure if you are a student to buy online ahead of time as these plays are packed.
