I had such a great time lounging with the adorable kitties! You pay to get a certain amount of time in the kitty lounge + it comes with a free drink! The place is clean and well maintained for the kitties to roam around and enjoy. The staff was very kind and the overall vibe was super nice! Highly recommend coming here just to chill and help support an awesome business that helps cats in need! Please consider adopting, fostering and donating/helping your local shelters! ?

Coffee and cats, what more could you ask for? The decor is great and all looks handmade, they are essentially a shelter where you can adopt the cats as well. Such a great mission and such a great way of accomplishing it. New favorite spot in Bham!

This is my happy place. Calm, quiet and kitties!!! I love being able to show the shy kitties that humans can be good to them. I feel the cafe gives these cats a great chance at getting adopted. No one can show their best side while in a cage. I could spend hours watching the babies nap and play. And when one chooses to sit in your lap? I'm beyond happy. And the staff was patient with me when I was gushing about progress with a shy one.

Loved visiting the kitties at Gatos and Beans. The highlight was 2 cats finding their forever homes while we visited. The drinks were good, the kitties all nice, and the experience was just fun overall.

While on our way out to visit family out in Alabama, we decided to treat our oldest to something she has always wanted to experience: a Cat Cafe! It was a light day for the café- they explained that they normally have about twelve cats running about but today there were only seven with one in time out for misbehaving. Still, there were plenty to watch and play with, and they even offered free toys to play with for the cats' entertainment. The drinks we bought were well made, too!

The only thing I could find fault with was that when we arrived, we were told we would get one hour with entry ($13 per person) but our arrival time was never noted or written down, and my wife noticed that we were told our time was almost up even though we had been there less than forty-five minutes. We believe that we were confused for another couple that had come in before us- there were four other groups in there with us- and it was just a simple misunderstanding, but I would recommend making sure to note the time somewhere just in case this happens to you if you visit.

Well, THIS is the coolest Cat Cafe (on the only Cat Coffee Cafe) I have ever been to!!
At first I was nervous about opening the door and maybe a cat would come out, but the cats are in another room, Honestly, I felt like I was hanging out at a Cat’s Castle!!
So cool, They have Cats wanting to be adopted and they work with local Cat places to help with the care and wellbeing of all Cats.
The coffee menu is amazing and they have cold drinks as well!

Gatos and Beans is an awesome facility in Avondale that partners with a rescue to house and adopt out cats. The cats were all really sweet, calm and friendly. The coffee was nice and I just really enjoy the concept. The employees and patrons were all very friendly.
When you adopt a cat they are spayed/neutered and microchipped for a really affordable fee. I love the cat play areas and all the toys provided. The cats are well cared for in a serene setting.
I recommend making a reservation which is very simple online.
