Friendly people, nice gallery space, gift shop with gorgeous items at generally reasonable prices. Worth the visit, though it IS a small town, so the gift shop isn't as extensive as some, but what they do have is generally very nice.

Both levels are individually wheelchair accessible--upstairs via ramp on the north side, and roll into the basement via the riverwalk-- though there's no interior stair/lift so you'll need to go around to the vehicle access to the riverwalk to get to the basement, or more able- bodied folks can walk up the stairs on either side of the building.

I haven't yet checked out their restroom situation; if they have one, it's upstairs, as the basement is basically just one big storage area with a garage door.

They're hosting open studio hours in the basement over the summer, generally Mon-Wed afternoons 1-4pm, and you're encouraged to bring your own supplies and hang out making art, or help with the mosaic project they have going on for the riverwalk. I'm in town temporarily, and this is a wonderful option to spend time being creative while my partner's at work. They've also got pottery wheels down there that are available some days (when their owner is there to supervise newer/unfamiliar potters); creations are fired primarily off site and earmarked for a charity sale to benefit the local food shelf. The space is basic, as it floods seasonally, but in summers it's fairly dry and cool, though the light is from the doors since the flooding precludes installing much of anything.

They also host a monthly maker's market in warm weather which is a small art fair on the first Thursday of the month, 5-8pm. There were about 2 dozen booths in July, ranging from foraged spices to roasted nuts to paintings and photography, handmade hunting/fishing knives, candles, and jewelry. There was a small drum circle set up for live music during the event, too. Seating is available at benches and picnic tables on the riverwalk for those who want to stop and rest, adding to the relaxed fun vibe.

Stopped in because we had an emergency restroom need. Lots of beautiful art to see. Kids got to partake in an art project also! Great experience.
