The Great Star Theater is one of its kind. Orchestra seats only. Multiple shows throughout a month allow people to enjoy the best seats in the venue. Chinatown Dragon’s performers did not disappoint. They moved gracefully to the sound of music.

I love this little theater for its great little, often, local shows. I have seen probably a couple dozen shows here over the years. I recommend the first row seating over the VIP tables often since the tables are very close to the stage.
Also, the accessibility bathroom is on the lobby floor, but the majority of the stalls are down some steep stairs.
Parking is atrocious in Chinatown, plan ahead!

Interesting shows you won't see other places. Super friendly staff. Good views from all seats. Seats are uncomfortable but everything else is good.

Bruce Lee History: This was where Lee launched his movie career in 1941 right after being born, he played a newborn girl in the Cantonese-language film "Golden Gate Girl," directed by Esther Eng. She was a close friend of Lee’s family, even acting as the legal witness on many of their immigration documents.

The Great Star Theater is a fun locals spot and a genuine San Francisco experience. If you haven't spent an evening there then you haven't really visited the city.

Went for the Candlelight concert series! This time was neo soul, hip hop and R&B. I loved the ambiance and the performers made the entire experience! Loved that they played relevant songs and that they engaged with the audience a little. Definitely worth the splurge for zone A and getting there early to get good seats!!

Pretty cool venue in downtown. We went for the Empire strips back burlesque show and it was one of the best performances of my life. Seriously, incredible.

The venue is cool with downstairs bathrooms underground and every seat in the house has a good view.

Would definitely go back for another performance!
