I read the documentation, pdfs, and nowhere Does it say that refunds are absolutely never done. It actually mentions that some refunds are offered depending on the situation and that it's to their discretion. Well, apparently getting stuck out of the country did not matter to them, and they refused the refund for us. $100!!!
It's a very small fair for the price they charge, limited options in rides & games. But I guess being a county instead of state fair might affect that.

We had heard about the Festival of Lights being held at the Hillsborough County Fairgrounds, so we decided to visit the fair on Sunday evening to experience the festive atmosphere.

Upon arrival, we noticed a long queue at the entrance, which was a bit of a hassle as we had to wait quite a while to get in. The ticket price was $30 per person, which we found to be on the expensive side.

Once inside, the fair was beautifully decorated with thousands of twinkling lights, creating a magical and festive atmosphere. It was truly a visual treat for anyone looking to get into the holiday spirit. One of the highlights was the Santa Village, where visitors could click photos with Santa, making it a great spot for families and kids to create holiday memories.

However, the experience leading up to the fair left much to be desired. From the entrance to the parking lot, the flow of cars was extremely slow, moving at less than 10 mph. It felt frustrating and monotonous, especially with an infant in the car. Adding to this, there was no quick exit available, which turned into a major inconvenience for us. Our baby started crying for milk, and despite needing to leave urgently, we had no option but to patiently wait until we reached the parking lot.

While the lights and festive decorations were undoubtedly beautiful and worth seeing, the logistical challenges--long queues, slow-moving traffic, and lack of a quick exit--somewhat overshadowed the experience.

Fairly long drive through but lights displays themselves were simply meh. More like, various light up lawn displays then a true "lights display" drive through. I'd much rather drive through a great neighborhood and see for free. Prices should be posted for food and rides! Rides are $5 per person, per ride! Outrageous for families with multiple kiddo's. Their best deal is 10 tickets for $40 dollars! Food is just as expensive as Disney but less quality. We paid $8 for candy cane coffee that was literally a medium cup of regular black coffee with peppermint flavoring in it. The camel rides were $15 per person for 1 single walk around the pen. That's it. The traffic to get in was really bad and we didn't even arrive until nearly 2 hrs. after they had opened. I can't imagine how traffic was when they opened. We're a family of 3 and spent $80 just for the drive through, 3 coffee's because it was freezing, goat food and 1 camel ride. I don't recommend for families because it's not cost effective. Kids will be disappointed if they can't ride everything because it's to expensive.

Horrible and absolutely do not recommend. We got here at 6:30. We didn’t get in until about 9:40. The line was going 1 mile per hour. Waste of money. The lights were cute but it wasn’t worth what we went through. We couldn’t even make it to the fair. I wish I could give a negative review.
