Officer Baker abused the little power he has based on a false claim made by a “friend” of his. He aggressively showed up at our house with a restraining device without even speaking to us. He left a fraudulently report suggesting us to quarantine our dog without speaking to us personally. After the 10 days he called and left a rude aggressive voicemail asking if my dog was a live and well. We have rescued animal’s for over 20 years and have never come across such an ignorant and incompetent “officer”. Any accusation should be responded to with appropriate diligence as to avoid unneeded stress and emotional harm.

This agency is absolutely insane and horrendous. They came out and confiscated 25 dogs from a animal abuser (this was good) but then sold the dogs back to her the next week for 5 grand. Since then, 5 dogs are now DEAD under the neglect of the criminal who is now in court over the same matter. They were complicit in her abuse, neglect, and now death of 5 animals. To this day she still has 15 dogs locked in cages. They haven't left their cages in years. She never walks any of her dogs. Her home is unliveable with dog feces, urine, and mold. She's a mentally ill woman and animal control is complicit in the whole matter. This will be a news story. The neighbor has made this a top goal. Animal abuse and neglect will not be tolerated nor the complicity of animal controls' horrendous behavior on this case.

Had a stray pup I needed to have picked up as I couldn’t keep her with my other 2 dogs. The lady at the phone was super patient with me even though I called them twice as I was worried about getting her picked up before I had to go to work. She even had the officer call me with an eta which helped calm my worry immensely. The officer I spoke with who came to get the pup was super wonderful and explained everything that would happen with her throughly. Pup seemed to like him immediately and he was so gentle with her. Just wanted to say thank you to both of the people who helped her and me and I pray she finds her forever home.

I called because I was concerned for two dogs and ONE OF THEM DEADASS TRIED TO BITE MY BROTHER and I tell the lady on the phone and she says (in a very rude and confused way) "so what do u want us to do about it?"

BUT THEN I get a call from a restricted number and so I answered and the guy was so sweet and patient and he was very professional. He said that he would talk to the neighbors.

I love this animal shelter the staff are nice and always wanting to help. I think the dogs and cats should have a better variety of food though. Also I think they should be open on Monday's. Wish the cats and dogs had toys in there cages. Other then that it was awesome. They are clean.

Hall county animal control, specifically Carver (idk your hand writing is impossible to read), is currently threatening us with a fine bc our neighbors keep falsely reporting that our dogs are roaming into their yard.
We have watched the dogs every single time they’ve gone outside, and have started putting them on leashes and a runner after the first complaint.
They have not ran into whoever’s yard it is, we don’t even know WHO it is, because they have not bothered to attempt to communicate with us.
The officer who answered the phone was horribly rude for literally no reason.
Again, threatening a FINE for no reason. Animal control working off of the trust system is actually the dumbest thing I have ever heard of.
We have received 2 notices. The first one we know is false because according to the cameras we have, we don’t even think the dogs had been outside at the time, the second one we KNOW is false because we watched the dogs when we let them out, and put them on a runner when we let them out that one of our neighbors lended us.
You guys actually suck at your job. You do not investigate, you just pull out fines based off what anyone says, assuming it to be true. You do not even attempt to contact the dogs owners to see if they have anything else to add on.
Dogs around this specific neighborhood run around all the time, off leash, in their own yard with no problem. I think you guys only have a problem with it now bc it’s not a white family.
Not only that, but some of our neighbors dogs have been known to run at other people and/or dogs. Our dogs do not do that, they keep to their yard and are watched so they don’t do that.
Update: when we reported our neighbors bc their GS has a history for aggressively running into people’s lawns and at other dogs, suddenly they needed proof to find this white man. However when asked if they had proof…photos or videos, of our dogs running into other peoples lawns they said no, this is a Hispanic household so I think that that speaks for itself.

I have two dogs and a cat I adopted from here. The staff works so hard to find good homes for all the animals. They do a great job .
