I've done several shows here and it's always a joy. Everyone is kind and welcoming, and there's always the perfect balance of work and play at rehearsals. I never feel like we're not prepared to open the show, and the directors are super supportive and so fantastic to work with. 10/10 best community theater experience yet, highly recommend

Saw Anne of Green Gables. Rose Tan the 13 year old lead was amazing! If she continues with acting she will become known world wide! She was that good!

I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Iolanthe put on by the Light Opera of Portland on August 4, 2004! The HART seats about 100 people. This performance required a scanned program which I did not use. I sat in Row D which is lower and a better temperature for me during the performance when the AC is turned off. The side step lighting was distracting at first and I wish it faced downwards.
The acting was superb! The HART has chosen performances that I enjoy bringing my friends to. I just bought season tickets and so did my friend who lives in a nearby city! We look forward to exploring downtown Hillsboro’s restaurants before the show.

I love this community theatre so much that I joined the board! It’s a needed affordable entertainment opportunity that makes for a great night out. Nothing like watching a show produced in your community, at a theater in your community, with an audience from your community.

We saw the 1/10/19 performance of Les Miserables. It was a phenomenal production. I got goosebumps more times than I could count during the performance. The venue itself is very cozy and does not want of anything else. From a spectator's point of view it is a perfect venue. The venue does not have a very high capacity but I believe that adds to the allure and makes the whole experience feel more intimate. The acoustics were perfect even on the top rows. Definitely going back.

HART is where your home is. Its not only great theatre, but when you walk in the building, you feel liked you walked right into a big hug. They bake fresh chocolate chip cookies for every intermission!, as well as coffee, tea, cocoa, water, and sparkling water for a donation fee! Opening nights of a new production are always a treat. Fantastic show. Then after opening night of a new production, you walk into the lobby and you are greeted with a lovely champagne/sparkling cider and chocolate truffle celebration and that is to thank the patrons for coming to the first show and supporting them and the theatre, but it is also good luck for the cast and a successful run of their show. The cast will then join in and mingle, you can ask questions, take pictures. (They come out to the lobby after every show to do the above, sans the fanfare) Their window and lobby is always decorated differently every show,and it is always a reflection of what you will see on stage. Its always fun to look around, watch the show and see how all the pieces of the lobby finally make sense. Its not just a show, its feels like a warm, comfy, family atmosphere there. Oh! and the Max drops you off right at the corner! As well as many bus lines!
