If you're looking for a fun and cultural activity in Honolulu, the theater is great for you to check out screening of films and documentaries about artists or local communities that would not have been featured in other places. The ticket price is separate from the entrance ticket to the museum. The theater is maintained well and can seat many people comfortably, it does get chilly so bring a light jacket if you don't like strong air conditioning. They also have restrooms and water dispenser within the area do visitors would not have to exit the theater for facilities. During my screening there was a person who uses a wheelchair but he seems to have no issues with accessibility ♿.

Their events and independent movies are some of the best entertainment on the island. Stop at the Cafe and Museum Shop too. Unique gifts at the shop, surely to impress!

The rear gate wasn’t opened on Canal Street this time so I had to walk all the way around the front entrance and you pass through the main museum courtyard and then the gift shop and café courtyard and walk up the stairs to the Duke building which is down stairs But overall, they had a great volunteer team of college students and staff members to put on educational showings that enrich our collective understanding

We did a documentary screening here with almost 200 people in attendance. The staff was very friendly, professional and accomadating! And the theater is spacious. There's no cell service down there, but one doesn't need to make calls during a film, anyway!

Every time I have gone to this theater it is a great experience, the last time I went for The Links Movie short called "The Invitation" was wonderful as well!
