Very first timer friendly, the horses are very well trained and all have they're own personalities! It's a lot of fun! Plus the tour guides make excellent photographers and know where to take awesome pictures! This was a very fun and enjoyable experience! We will definitely be back!

I was looking for a horse opportunity for my 9 year old and this more hit the mark for our whole family! We were able to do an antelope canyon tour at 9, had lunch went shopping in town and hit the horse tour. Because it's Navajo Nation land, plus grazing rights for the family this is the only way to get up close and personal to horseshoe bend. Not to mention small group. If horse isn't your thing they also do keep tours. Marlin is the TOPS he made sure we were all comfortable. So knowledgeable, land, history, recent history and current events related to visiting this site. Side note since the Federal government actually owns the land, when the city of page wanted to put in a paid parking lot they bypasses Navajos and went right to Fed, tourism is one of the few opportunities for the indigenous people of this land to make money. Happy to spend money by taking a Navajo run tour and not to Page. Please do this!!

This is a unique, one of a kind way to see Horseshoe Bend. Our family of 4 took this tour and it was such a fun time. We are all beginners and had no trouble riding these horses. They are so laid back and sweet. Marlin was a great tour guide and provided a lot of information about the area. Definitely recommend this experience for everyone!

Had a relaxing hike to begin our adventure in the Dine (Navajo) Nation by a lovely guide, Jani Ann. She was well versed in the plant life and their uses. It was nice and cool in the Antelope slot canyons with a wonderful view at the end of the canyon.

The last half of the excursion was a horseback ride to Horseshoe Bend. Freddy is a true horseman and the horses were well fed, shod and clearly experienced and safe. After greeting them and discussing their particularities and our experience, we were off. I was incredibly impressed that he had our stirrups set to the exact lengths needed before we even arrived. How he did it, I have no idea. That’s one detail that shows just what a professional operation they are running.

The ride itself was relaxed and he gave us a Dine (the name they prefer) history of the area and his family. The People clearly love and revere their land and fully appreciate its beauty. We could see huge crowds in the distance making the trek to the public viewing area but we were able to visit on native land with just Freddy. Not dealing with all those crowds and slowing it down with a horse was very special. Absorbing the history and learning a little of the language as well made it extra special.

Both the hike and the ride are highly, highly recommended!

We had a great experience with horseshoe bend trail rides. We booked a couple of days ahead and are so glad we added this to our agenda. The ride is short but the destination is amazing! My 16 year old had never ridden before and he was able to manage his horse just fine. The horses are in great shape and well cared for. This is more about the destination than the ride. You look back and see all the people at the public spot and appreciate how special this opportunity to see amazing beauty is. Don’t miss it!
