The good: Beautiful area, great lawn to spread out on, can bring your own food and drinks, great walking trails, and it's free!!
The not so good parts: Not very handicapped accessible, long walk from the parking lot, no where to drop people off that is closer. They have portable restrooms.

Parking could have easily been closer, and it is a bit tricky to navigate to, but it is an absolutely fabulous setting! Worth the extra effort.

Very nice venue for outdoor concerts, church services, and other events. The WDM civic campus around the lake is quite nice. If the event is held outside of regular business hours, the city hall parking lot provides plenty of spaces for performers and audience members. The amphitheater is also connected to the area's trail system.

Enjoyable evening at the Amphitheater- got to hear the rock band "The Crust" - they played lots of great classics: Rush, Van Halen and Hendrix, among others. The Amphitheater grounds are very well kept and we liked being there. It's a nice addition for West Des Moines! Highly recommend the Summer Sundaze - free music, good food trucks, and a nice venue.
